Question about job searching in today's economy

    Long story short.. My GF was working as a loan agent at a bank but after they found out about her criminal record, they pressured her to quit so she gave in her resignation letter days ago.. I mean she doesn't have to work but she took so much pride in her job that she's depressed.. She wont ever get to work at a bnk das for sure.. MY ques is, how hard is it to find a job today?

    Extremely difficult.

    I graduated in May with a degree in English (magna cum laude) with a double minor in film and psychology and I couldn't find a job ALL summer long in Boston (where I'm from). Then I moved back to Western, MA where my school was to find jobs there. I figured it would be less competitive. And I was right. Got a job almost immediately. Making 40K and the job has NOTHING to do with my degree.
