Yeah it wasn't even close. HBO were trying to protect Mayweather's win over Mosley which doesn't look very special now.
I was wondering about that. I was watching the international feed that had Dave Bontempo and Doug Fischer. When they switched to Larry Merchant, I thought for sure Larry was gonna ask both fighters how on earth Mora didn't win, but damn Larry thought the exact opposite. To my eyes Mosley couldn't do a thing. He's a shot fighter. Reminded me of De La Fishnets when he could no longer pull the trigger.
Right on the money. Thats why i was watching a differant broadcast. Just shows people do get easily fooled by the HBO team. Im a fan of Mosley but i cant begin to even think it was close. atsch
We were watching HBO, but the party was heated in discussion and nobody was paying attention. One guy had a draw, the rest of us all had 115-113 Mora.
HBO clearly had an agenda. They were even talking about it at the end. They were worried that this loss would prevent mosley from getting a big fight (like pacquiao or berto), which would be on HBO. Lampley even said to the fans to ignore the judges and just act like mosley won tonight.
Really don't understand what Lampley, Merchant, and Lederman where looking at...I understand it was an ugly fight for the first 4 or 5 rounds but I thought Mora landed the cleaner and better shots afterwards. Mosley looked ready to go around the tenth. Don't think Mosley landed any shot of significance throughout the entire fight...Thought Mora edged it, but am not at all bothered by a draw...The HBO crew, I thought, really went overboard with their criticism--especially of Mora and the judges.
I had it about the same. 9-3 Mora. I did hear Merchant asking shane "but you were the aggresser" "you clearly won the fight" Shane had it in his face. He knows he lost.:deal
Interesting.......I too watched the international feed on a live stream with Dave Bontempo...... .....to be honest, I found myself disagreeing with their scorecard in the early rounds..... From How I saw it, and I normally score this way......Mora was purely defensive and was trying to prevent a fight. What Mora was doing was making Mosley look bad, but the thing was for me is that Mora was'nt being effective offensively. I though Mora was ineffective offensively as he was doing very little to even try to be effective. Those early rounds were very hard to score and there was very little of effectiveness offensively coming from both fighters........ When this happens, I always relugate myself to score for the aggressor, as he's at least trying to make a fight out of it....... I had the fight even through 7 rounds, but then I thought Mosley even though he looked sloppy in doing so, outhustled Mora the last 5 rounds of the fight. Down the stretch of the fight Mosley just stuck to Mora's body and just sloppily outworked him imo. I scored it 117-112 Mosley, but I'll have to admit that there were rounds that I could see swinging the other way, and though I had it 117-112, it felt closer and certainly more competitive than that. .......got to tell it like it is however, thats how my scorecard read. Funny that I disagreed with the scorecard of commentators from the international feed, and I'm just learning that the HBO broadcast team had Mosely winning going away....... I'm also wondering if the different broadcast teams influenced their audience. Those who had Mora winning, which broadcast did you watch?????? As well if you saw Mosley winning, what broadcast did you watch????? I find it hillarious that two different broadcast teams had it wide for different fighters. I've since learned that the HBO broadcast team had Mosley winning going away.......
look at the ****ing punch output and thats all you need to know about who won this fight, yeah compubox can be off a bit or not tell the whole tale of the fight but def not in this case.
Corrupt ass judges. Even Mosley said he was happy to get a draw. He knew he lost. What fighter says that?
