They went on to act like it was a clear victory for Mosley based on clean punching and aggressiveness, when Mora was the only guy landing anything cleanly. The fight was close and pretty sloppy but all Mosley did was flick out a weak jab and miss wide power punches. No way in hell did he land that many more shots than Mora (I have officially boycotted compubox). The fight was close. HBO is clearly trying to set up another big fight with Mosley's name on it.

In no way have I ever been a fan of Mora but the job Lampley and HBO did tonight was utter bull****.

I thought the HBO team was dead on. I scored it 117-111 Mosley and admit that rounds 1, 4, 10, and 11 could've gone either way. Unfortunately for Mora, I scored half of the "close rounds" for him anyway. I wouldn't disagree with a 119-109 scorecard and I wouldn't think you the devil with a 115-113 scorecard. But Mosley won CLEARLY.

In the Mayweather fight, they were all night looking for excuses of why Mosley was taking a brutal beating and not giving credit for the ultra talented Floyd. Floyd destroy Mosley at its own fight, at long distance at close quaters and in the ropes. Mora ran all night and make a good fight, but Floyd fight and beat Mosley. The only thing equal in this 2 fights is that HBO commentators are more looking for excuses that narrating what is happening in the ring.

    120-108 Sugar Shane Mosley.

But I also think 115-113 Mora is fair, or 114-114 is good too.

It was a good night to be a boxing fan, until the "main" event...

I have always been a bit skeptical of the compubox results. There must be a margin of error, especailly when human frailties are involved. I still like the concept and for the most part it is an accurate tool.

I'll be honest with you guys, Mora fought just a little bit better than a prime John Ruiz did in his heyday.....
Boxing should not reward these types of fighters.
They dont look to score points, they look to stall the action of what is supposed to be a boxing match.

They both looked like ****. A draw was the correct decision. Shane was at least pressing the fight while Mora was running and too shy to throw for the majority of the rounds. The punches Mora landed were few and far in between. I agree with Lederman's scorecard; I'm actually being generous to call it draw. Shane should've won for putting money in the bank early but Mora finished strong so I'm not complaining about the decision.

I watched the fight on illegal stream since the card was extremely overpriced in my opinion. As such, the quality was below decency. I'll re-watch it with better clarity at a later time and maybe I'll catch something different. But for now my ruling stands.

The fight sucked. I scored 8-4 Molsley. I might see 1 other round to give to Mora but thats it. Mosley was pretty bad tonight but Mora was pathetic, as were the judges.

How did ANYONE see that going Mora's way? WTF?

That fight was crappy, but if it wasn't for SSM there would not have been a fight! Mora was there to be a game loser. How in the hell do you get an opportunity like that and "fight" like that?

Mosley should hang them up and Mora needs to crawl under a rock.

No, it's a manipulative tool used by HBO to sway the viewer into scoring a round for their fighter.

When a round is leaning towards the other guy HBO will display the compubox numbers for the round which obviously favors their guy to manipulate the viewer.

They get creative with it too, if their guy is losing in the punches thrown and landed department but is ahead in the jabs landed department they'll only show this small tidbit of information to the audience.

They did it in Dawson/Pascal, Alexander/Kotelnik and they did it tonight for Mora/Mosley.

Didn't listen to HBO's commentating and wasn't influenced by them, that's how. I watched it online in who knows what language and just focused on the fight without any commentating, and thought Mora was more effective and pulled it out.

You and that San rafael(sp) are both thick. I can not blame him because I have unfortunately been to that dump of a town he calls home. While you must be consuming too many of those eggs with the partially formed fetus' that are so popular with Pinoy culture.

I stated in my initial post that compubox was flawed and manipulated but it can be a usefull tool as long as one is aware of it's limitations. There is no reason to throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water over something so discernable. If that was the case you and San rafael would be at the bottom of the Pacific.
