Guys, give credit where credit is due. Like many people on this board, I have not been shy to call out Green as a complete fraud (and no better than Mundine), given his recent run of pathetic opponents. However I will happily acknowledge this choice of opponent. Although still a prospect, lets be fair and acknowledge that Flores is about as live an opponent as you can find at this weight. Anyone who says he is not at least a threat is just kidding themselves. Lets also acknowledge some other facts. Green will be conceding considerable age (BJ is 6 years younger), and weight (Green will likely be giving up about 20 lbs on fight night) advantages. Noone can dispute Green's shocking run of fighting over-the-hill and C-grade opponents, but lets recognise that (although unproven) BJ is a young, hungry undefeated challenger that ticks all the boxes as a more than worthy challenger.
on your first point : Huck, Cunningham, Lebedev, Hernandez, Wlodarczyk, Guillermo Jones, Affolabi... just a list of more live opponents out there... point 2... danny is the world CRUISERWEIGHT champion... BJ will make the weight, so if danny gives up 20lbs on the night that is his choice.... it will be nice to for once see him fight at cruiserweight. This is not a horrible choice of opponent for danny and will be an entertaining fight.. however as a world champion this would be the least class of opponent you should be facing, yet quite a few people are saying how great it is that danny is taking on such a formidable opponent...he will win this and fight cameron next, so this will be the last time i will watch him fight
:-(please danny ain't even the champ in his house, real titleholders like uss, huck, wlodarczyk wipe the floor with him
i totally agree. i was making a point to the previous poster who said green would be giving up 20lbs... he shouldnt be if he is the cruiser champ as he claims.... you are wrong about flores though... green will beat him without too much trouble IMO
Flores is a legit, undefeated CW.even if all his victories are against US domestic level fighters its still better than Shane Cameron.hes bigger, heavier and stronger than Danny.hes a good opponent IMO.the best in the world no but a younger stronger, bigger fighter keen to prove himself.:good
Flores and Camerons record are actually quite similar. Camerons had the 2 losses, but one was againts Tua, who would rip Green and Flores apart on the same night, and the other was against Ahunanya, who was getting outboxed until Cameron gassed. Similar age, same height, etc.
Well dumb kunt, danny has already fought in Germany and Canada so once again your comment is void :nono hahahaha no worries Johnny boy, if spelling mistakes is all you can come up with then that just shows what type of man you are when you have nothing to fall back on. :verysad Have fun with your spell check you dooch bag cause no matter how grammatically correct your comments are they still wont mean squat cause you dont know **** :deal
This is a great fight for Green....not sure how anybody can bag this fight:huh Congratz to Green for stepping up:good
Green has fought in Germany twice, the US and Canada once each. Johnnie Boys point does look.....pointless!
i agree Ash, it is a good fight for Green. however, i disagree that we should be congratulating him for stepping up, he should never be fighting below this level if he is the "champ"...
