Will be good to see how Danny goes at genuine cruiserweight instead of "dannyweight". Green v Ammann would be a good stoush, I'd like to see that.... Or Green v Cameron.
The only reason Danny has a Cruiser title is because he wanted a big pay day in a Roy Jones fight in Sydney. He fought a nobody on the RJJ undercard to claim his "title" which was needed to get RJJ and the fans interested with the whole "never won a cruiser title" thing. After his lucky win he wanted to fight Mandy but The Man wanted no part so Green decided to fight the bloke who took his title as a bit of a wind up. I think and so did most on ESB that Paul Briggs was a great fight in the making, and like the rest of us I doubt the Green camp knew how bad a shape Paul was in. Cant see Danny beating a top line Cruiser so I guess this BJ fight will be a good yard stick on where he is. Hope my spelling is ok. Peace Bearches.
obviously not been following boxing too long....green vs cameron is a bit like adam scott playing against the number 3 rated golfer at wynnum golf club and after despatching him, claiming to be the greatest golfer in the world.... dont get me wrong.. adam is a great golfer... but....
I would bet that not a single person on this thread had even watched (or even followed) a BJ Flores fight until he started calling Danny Green out. Where the hell are all his American fans, surely he must have some relatives, friends and/or fans from his hometown who want to put in their 2cents in so we don't have to listen to the rambling on of people who have only just analysed bits and pieces of poor footage off YouTube.
Q. How many times has Green fought overseas in, say, the last five years? A. Once, against an Argie for the IBO title which was a joke in itself. The last time Green ventured overseas in a live fight was against Beyer. He's realised that he lacks the tools to cut it on the world stage and since then has decided to stay home and line his pockets with all of his loyal nuthuggers' $$$. Much like Mundine. Good on both of them. They know there are plenty of 'tards out there like yourself to keep the circus rolling. Ps. Can you make your mind up, is it dooch bag or douchbag?
I have seen about 4 or 5 of Flores fights. He has considerable skills as a boxer and he will Green a good go.Can he handle a puncher like Green? That is the question that will decide this fight. If he can-Green is in trouble as he can't match Flores skills or hand speed.
Well this is the aussie forum mate....if you asked the yanks about our best 3 CW you would come up short there are well :hey B J Flores is without a career fight to date....IMO this fight with Green changes that. And whats so bad about youtube.....it's easy to see Flores has good power, great body shots, controls the ring and has a nice set of punches and counters...you can also see he works on his defence. IMO Green is in for his hardest fight and this will be a huge night....as I said before props to Green for stepping up :good
Thats right mate.... I just came down in the last shower. Was a huge croquet fan until last week but decided to switch to boxing. Perhaps you could give me a few pointers & help me learn the ropes eh?
Fair call Fatcity. It's been a long time - I remember chatting with you on the Classic forum eons ago.
