If Hopkins was in the 80's he would have destroyed Hagler hearns and leonard

Hopkins is an incredibly intelligent fighter. I imagine he could have given them all a good fight and maybe beaten one of them (MAYBE!), but to say he'd destroy them is ignorant.

It's funny how you continue reference height when Bhop is mainly an inside fighter. Even if he did use his height advantage. Hagler was such a dog he would find a way to get inside. I think you need to get on youtube and see some of Haglers fights instead of drawing conclusions by their measurements. Hagler and Monzon were no doubt the greatest MW's of all time.

That's so irrelevant. Those were early in his career, and he knockout both in rematchs. He got much better after those early loses.

Trinidad was an inside fighter too. As for fighting on the inside B-Hop is a master at wrapping you up holding and hitting in the clutches. He would have frustrated Hagler Hopkins is known for his dog fighting style. As for Jermaine Taylor in that first fight he didnt look like a winner to me at the end of the fight he thought he'd lost

Hopkins was lucky to fight when he did.
The MW division has developed into a much stronger playing field now with

F Sturm who soften up Oscar for Hopkins
    H N N'Jikam
    S Sylvester
    D Pirog
    S Zbik

Hopkins had a good chin, but would have had mixed results against these guys.
Hopkins has always struggled with fast fighters and Sturm would have outboxed him.

Sturm dont stand a chance Hopkins would have whoop them all. Over 20 defenses and no lost

Hugely irrelevant, Munroe was actually a pretty good fighter and Hagler was robbed vs Watts. IMO Munroe was the only fight he ever lost, not to mention he knocked both out in rematches. If you think those fights matter than surely the fact Hopkins lost to Clinton Mitchell is also important to you.

Look Newbie, I understand you want to make friends on here :tong, and get a bias crowd to think your one of them when you quote :-(.

But now you have disputed a known ESB elite poster :rasta ,who can :**** all over any of your quotes.
Now as your new, im going to be kind to you, as I explain myself. Hopkins best MW wins are mostly against smaller fighters coming up in weight. Hopkins lost against good fast fighters. Fact :deal.

You say 20 defences without a loss, but shamefully in your bias fail to mention that he lost defence 21 :patsch, and couldnt win a return, albeit against a fast fighter. He lost when he first tried for a MW title, against a fast fighter, and couldnt win first time round against Mercado, having to pick himself up twice. Facts again :deal

Sturm as a fast fighter who wasnt coming up in weight, would give Hopkins fits and win a decision :hammertime.

Now, Ive let you hang with an elite, but dont go getting any ideas :bart.

    :hi:
