Don't go by the boxrec page on him, he was killed by a rock-throwing HOMO SAPIENS. :patsch Anyway, the guy was not one of your smarter fighters but he hit like a motherlover. That overhand left was vicious. His bite also made Tyson's and Golota's look like that of a week-old puppy's. ...Bites were legal then.

    Mines not so cut and dry 1956 Maciano retires in 55. Is he still considered champ even though he retired or do I go with Patterson who became champ late in 56?

    I should of researched more Marciano retired on April 27, 1956, 2 months after I was born.
    So for me its Rocky Marciano.
