One thing everone is forgeting to mention is the head games Ali would play on Lewis. Advantages for Ali Handspeed, foot movement, reach and chin. I can see Ali Tauting Lewis the same way he did Foreman. Mental is a big part of the game and Ali would have that advantage as well. Ali is just too fast for Lewis, Ali takes Lewis to deep water and Kos him late.

I don't believe that if Norton and Frazier held the titles hten Lewis could have too. He would go through Frazier just like Foreman did He just could never beat Ali.

So you think it is ******ed that Lennox is AT LEAST comparably skilled, has comparable ring intelligence, is bigger, stronger, and WAY harder hitting than Ali? Muhammads prefight antics might have worked to some degree on Fraziers grumpy ass, but they wouldnt have fazed Lennox. He is as professional as they come.

Ali certainly has the tools to beat Louis. His speed, and footwork are second to none. He could potentially make Lewis look clueless; however, I believe he would have to make adaptations with his defense.

The things he does against shorter fighters won't be as effective against a guy like Lewis.

It has nothing to do with the level of skill being greater today than in the past because that's bull****.

Lewis though was a very skilled heavy with good athleticism.

The height difference would be negligible and Ali would win.

Today's fighters are un skilled by comparison.

Lewis didn't have the heart to get off the floor and continue.:deal

Ali was FAR BETTER than the scrubs that KO'd Lewis.:hi:

I understand that his offense was predicated around a long jab and right hand, but he still used uppercuts, and had good upperbody movement and balance.

I think he used what he had to the best of his abilities. Because of his offensive arsenal, and the fact that he'll go to war if he has to, I would pick him over Frazier for instance, when I would't pick Wlad because Wlad has no uppercuts, and is extremelly frusterated when approached with aggression and speed.

But from a PFP perspective, he's no Floyd Mayweather for instance or Joe Louis.

His body punching isn't where it needs to be to put him on that level.

You know its great these fantasy match ups, but being English and a massive Lewis fan I would still go with Ali every time, he would smash lewis, If Ali can do a masterclass on the ropes against Foreman took MASSIVE shots and turned it round then give Foreman a kicking, money cant buy that. I will always say that Ali was in another world in a different league to any fighter thats graced us, he had something extra.. That heavyweight era with Ali, Foreman, Fraizer etc we will never get a better heavyweight scene than that.
