Chael Sonnen Busted for PED's

From SI MMA reporter John Gross, posted on his twitter page three hours ago:

"CSAC executive director George Dodd says steroid in Sonnen's system not natural substance. Will have details later today."

Still not entirely sure what that means, but I guess it'll be clarified soon enough.

 

This is hysterical. **** that guy.

 

Maybe that's why Sonnen looked pretty ordinary a few years back in splitting with Paulo Fhilo for the WEC mw crown, then all of a sudden turned into a top notch UFC mw.......

 

Thats the steroid affect. Makes alot of guys feel invinceable.

 

yeah boosted his confidence but probably also his ability. again what else can explain such progression in an already experienced 30 year old fighter

 

The hormones allow you to train longer, harder and recover faster. Fundamentally Sonnen isnt up there with the best middeweights in the world but he's certainly a quality operator. He's entire body of work will now be put into question because the idiot didnt know enough about Steroids as to when to cycle on and off. Personally i find it hilarious.

 

I find it strange that they have not yet released what type of steroid he was using. Maybe it is a type that they have not yet seen before?

Also.. Anderson Sliva's manager says that the fight is still on. Silva's camp better wait and hold on to that title in the meantime, a suspension will follow soon and Sonnen will more than likely be out a year, unless he appeals and makes a good case.

George Dodd of the CSAC has come out and said that it isn't a natural steroid.

 

Well let's see what the substance was first, although unless it was something really benign I agree with you.

 

It just shows the importance of blood testing. Too many guys are playing the steroid game. If guys are doing it and getting caught just imagine how many are getting away with it
