O.K I have been reading all over the place any many in the media and on boxing forums seems to think Mosley should have won or at least earned the draw.

To be honest, I could have sworn I saw mosley get completely neutralized. I even saw him backed up a couple of times from crisp inside punches from Mora.

To give Mosley some credit though he did hit the air around Mora's head pretty often. The problem is he rarely hit Mora himself.

While the unethical person inside of me is glad Mosley didn't lose to Mora on paper, I still have to admit that Mora won that fight hands down.

The question is why isn't most people calling this a robbery when it so obviously is a robbery. :tired

it "seems" to be an obvious robbery. all the commenators & analysts were adamant that it was a robbery. The punch tracker showed Mosley obviously outshined Mora in way more punches landed. Its a general assumption that Mosley also lands much harder than Mora. Refer to their KO record to form that assumption. So not only did he land way more punches, he would have landed the "more effective" punches also.

People tend to favor the aggressor, the one who's attempting to make the fight into a confrontation, than the one who potshots and runs away. Mora seemed to have his moments at time, but those were in small spots.
I gave Mora 3 rounds AT THE MOST, my fellow friends gave Mosley a shut-out and was disgusted at Mora.

Those who felt Mora won instead - maybe they feel that "pure boxing" and technique outweighs more than other elements of boxing? But in the end, im not sure how they can formulate a winning fight for Mora if you take in ALL the aspects of the fight. The only way i think they can believe Mora won is that they value their favoritism over a fair judgement in a fight....

Honestly, I gave the fight to Mora. I mean just because Mosley looks more active by running after Mora and grabbing him doesn't necessarily mean he won.

I mean, if it were up to me Mosley would have won because Mora kept running away. But if that were the case than Marquez beat Mayweather. lol

Mora lost that fight. There is a difference between "boxing" and "game losing". Mora's performance was no better Kevin Johnson versus Vitali. Sure you can make the other guy miss and land an occasional shot, but you are doing NOTHING to win. If you want to box the guy fine, but there is no way he could win and throw as little as he did. He took handfuls of rounds off. WTF?

I agree with you completley :good:good:good
Mora won by a landslide. Mosley only won 2 or 3 rounds on my scorecards.

I don't know what fight you guys were watching, Mosley was busy, but he was busy doing nothing. He was missing and when he was in close, he was either getting hit by Mora or he was standing there trying to figure out what to do. Yes Mora was running, but he was hitting Mosley with crisp shots on the inside all night long.

Toward the end mosley was getting desperate and starting landing pitty pat punches. It reminded me of Mosley Margarito when the commentators said "We have never seen Margarito throw pitty pat punches just to land punches", thats what mosley did in the last two rounds.

before That he simple missed punches, looked confused and got backed up several times.

Anyway, to each his own. Different persons look for different things when scoring a fight.

Mosley tried to make it a fight - and couldn't.

Mora tried to keep it from becoming a fight - and succeeded.

    One fighter fulfilled his objective.

A draw is an okay outcome. Lampley was shamelessly cheerleading all night...and that's coming from a huge Mosley fan.

Mora was surprisingly good on the inside. Hope they make a battle of the Sergios at 160.

:deal good post. I see it the same way. I think most people would ask for a rematch in most cases, but since this was a stinker mostly from Mora's part, I don't think it should happen. There was nothing of importance at stake so like Merchant said he's gonna put that fight in the back of his mind and remember the event for the first 3 fights only. Understandable.

Forget water-boarding! The threat of having to watch Mosley-Mora will have prisoners spilling their guts at Gitmo.

i thought mora maybe won 3 rounds, however, i can see how others might see the fight differently though . Mora looked terrible and the only thing that saved him was that mosely also looked terrible. Martinez would execute Mora.

The people saying Mosley won are mostly Floyd fans. Just look up their past posts for proof.

It's a lame attempt to make Shane look better, (to make Floyds victory look better), hoping people will just read what they say, take it as fact and spread that ill-founded information to the numb ****s on here. Of whom will spread it further.
