??????? in my opinion wlad is a better pro then he was in the amatuers(although him in his brother are stuck in a shitt era)........but as an amatuer i think stevenson would knock wlad in the 1st rd.....i just got a complete copy of stevenson vs john tate.....and man was stevenson fast....that big right hand was very sharp.......couldnt see it commin....wkad woulda gotten knocked out..........and if ali ever fought stevenson in 76(like they discussed at that time....ali woulda gotten crusified.......and even george foreman at that time in 76 said stevenson was a huge monster......wlad was good but not great like stevenson:good

Igor Vysotsky beat Stevenson both times they fought. in 1976 he KO'd him after already having dropped him twice. Igor was 6'0 btw.

    Vysotsky> Stevenson

Yes, Stevenson beats Wlad in the Am's and even in Wlads early pro's since he didn't get with Steward untill 2004.

Prime Stevenson vs current Wlad, that's a fight I'd like to see.

I think Stevenson was the prototype of Lewis and the Klitscko's. He was the first big man that could really fight. It's unfortunate him and Savon mostly beat up and coming fighters not close to their primes. It would of been gold to see those 2 fight with the likes of Ali, Foreman, Holmes, etc. They might of changed history abit. Either way, they were great Latino fighters and are amateur legends. Stevenson wipes the floor with Wlad. Wlad doesn't do good with agressive powerpunchers. Vitali is a different story.

30 yr old Savon couldn't deal with a 18yr old Chagaev.

Agree with your post though btw except for the wipe the floor comment. Whoever lands big first probably takes it.

Here's a little more input for you:

Stevenson was KO'd and to the best of my knowledge Wlad has never been down or KO'd in the amateurs.

Stevenson was also beat by the same guy twice, Igor Vysotsky.

    You like that input?

Stevenson easy. Wlad got a standing 8 against Lawrence Clay Bey, barely got a decision in a fight he should´ve lost.
