Will somebody explain how the **** Matthew Hatton somehow holds the European welterweight belt when hes not even the 3rd best in Britain. He seems to think hes is somehow aloof to certain fighters when he hasnt even fought Kell Brook or Michael Jennings who would both knock him the **** out. In fact he seems to go about his career like Kell Brook doesnt exist. How the **** has Matthew hatton got that belt? Hes terrible. he's not even b level quintana, joel julio, ricardo torres and luiza collazo are b level fighters, all of them would eat matthew up.
Its true what another poster just said, Ricky bought him the euro title. He's not 3rd best in Britain, he's about 6th or 7th behind Watson, O'donell and others. He's a terrible fighter and its laughable that he might actually fight for a major world title.
Hatton is a pretty good boxer - he has dramatically improved over the last 12-18 months. One thing he does lack is power. He has had to adjust his style to suit that as he doesnt look too strong in the ring. He is no journeyman though - he is a solid b level fighter as stated above. Alvarez should win but M Hatton will come to fight. If he isnt KO'd by Canelo he could eek out a points win. Ive never really understood the hate for him - last few times I have seen him fight he was actually pretty good!

He got the belt by fighting, and goin unbeaten, 3 world rated opponents. khan did the same by avoiding thaxton and murray. i hope matt and kell fight next

Erm...because he won the European Title. And if you have seen his last couple bouts, he has been improving...especially his last bout.
