I still can't believe some people are unable to see the bigger picture here...i guess they're doing a good of building this up as we're all talking about it. Should be a pretty big fight once it's brought to a boil.

If Degale fights Groves, one of his guys will definitely lose.

Warren knew that Haymaker would want this on the bill for the Harrison v Haye fight that's why he made the offer so public. In truth, he never expected this to happen because he knows Degale isn't ready.

Franks gave up leverage by publicly saying he wants this for his megashow.
I wouldn't be shocked if Hayemaker has bumped up the cash requirements and added the promotional switch, hoping Frank matches the higher cost to have him promote it.

Warren only given up the leverage if he really expected to get it for his December show, I'm not sure he did with the 48 hours thing.

I think all he was doing was putting the fight out there and getting it mentioned when the 48 hours expires he can say "Right, I tried. Lets move on".

Would it really be such a bad thing for Warren to do 1-2 fights with Groves after he beats DeGale. He would almost certainly be mandatory for the British title so he would be taking steps forward.

    No chance of co-promotion?

I'm not too disappointed this fight isn't happening because I don't want to see one of these massive prospects lose. After that initial loss, their career may not recover so I'm happy to see it not happen yet. It would be a good spectacle but it's an inevitable fight so why rush it?

Have been thinking that all week. A one sided defeat would be a major psychological blow on the loser.

Yeah, definetly. Both at this stage are just prospects. I want both to mature and have a really huge fight, rather than something which, at this stage, is just a very good undercard bout. This could potentially be something special considering how soon the hype has started, so if it doesn't happen, I'm not fussed in the slightest.

I think both camps think the same too.

I actually think if this was on a card with Cleverly & Brook world title fights, with Fury vs Chisora and Macklin vs Barker it would be the most talked about fight on the bill amongst boxing fans and the public.

Booth is such a prat. I bet Haye would be a lot further forward if not for this knobjockey.
