Here are two small .Gifs from the second fight between Fighting Harada and Pone Kingpetch. These weren't called as knockdowns.

Both look legit to me, although the ref blocks our view for a short time in the second.

There's no doubt in my mind that the second one was legitimate. He was getting pounded and so he went down. There could have been no slip because he was stationary, and there was no push because he was up against the ropes. Had to be called a Knockdown.

    Undecided on the first one.

Yes definitely, clean shots were landed and the fighter looked to go down on purpose to get a rest in the second one.

2nd one was legit, the 1st one I think his right foot was stepped on and he fell over. No knockdown IMO.

Are you sure knockdown #2 wasn't called a knockdown? It sure looks like the ref is starting a count.

He doesn't count, Scartissue. Trust me. The bell goes but that ain't even the issue because the referee waves the action back on a second before the bell rings...he may have been thinking about it but he bottled it, and didn't call it a knockdown.

Worth nothing that the rematch took place in Thailand, effectively Kingpetch's backyard.

It's difficult to say for sure about the first one without another camera angle, but the second one was clearly a knockdown.

I guess they would have had to carry Kingpetch out to give Harada a draw.

Also, Scar, look at the way the referee reacts to the first knockdown he waves it on in the same manner he raises his hand in the second one. He was just waiting for Kingpetch to get up so he could wave the action back on. He wasn't about to count.

Yeah, I see that now that you mention it. If the clip had lasted a second longer we'd obviously see him giving his 'box on' cue.

Indeed. :good I had to keep this .gifs as short as possible though because I wanted them big enough to be able to make out the action, but I can only upload a maximum of 4mb on the upload site.

He lost balance in the first, but i think they can be viewd as legitimate.

I think so, of course he was never going to get those calls in Thailand, though.

Well I'm settled on the idea that the second knockdown was definitely a legitimate knockdown and thus the round should have been scored 10-8. I'd have had a two point edge for Harada and a 8-7 edge in rounds.

Watched the first fight today. A beat down, Kingpetch gets punished for carrying his left hand low after jabbing and gets tagged over and over with the overhand right.

This. It's not easy to tell if Harada stands on Kingpetch's foot for the first knockdown, though I'm not sure it would've made all that much of a difference even if he didn't.
