I for one , am now a little bit sick of Dana White and the UFC's restrictions on fighters moving up in weight classes , because lets be real , thats what they are !!!!

Silva has to move to 205 right now , the fights there for Silva are a lot more relevant than anything anybody (barring Sonnen) @85 can offer !!!

THIS IS A NO BRAINER , DANA GET THE MAN TO 205 FFS !!!!!!

I say make Silva vs Evans a title eliminator @205 and throw him right in the deep end , off the top of my head i cant remember Silva being medically suspended post Sonnen and i cant think of the date being branded around for there re match either :huh, but Shogun is out , Evans has no opponent until Shogun comes back :deal , it makes perfect sense IMO !!!

    Thoughts ??? :good

    1. What restrictions are you talking about? Fighters are free to move up or down if they want to. Silva has already had fights at 205.

    2. Why should he move up from 185 and vacate his title when Vitor Belfort is next in line for a shot? That's another fight that people really want to see.

    3. I don't think that anyone would care to see Evans lie on Silva for three rounds. Unless Silva's wrestling shows drastic improvement in the short-term, that's exactly what would happen.

Im talking plainly and simply about the restrictions Dana White has placed on GSP and Anderson Silva :deal , after Silva KO'd Griffin he should of fought again immediatley @205 , why ??? because there was no challenge for the guy @85 !!!! , White is also constantly referring to himself as " not being a fan of fighters (in particular champions) moving up in weight class until they have cleared out a division " well **** me if GSP and Silva havent already acheived that (barring Sonnen) then dry bum me !!!!!!

He doesnt have to vacate his title !!!! , Vitor Belfort , here is a guy who we know all about , dominated by Tito and Randy , beat by Chuck !!! , goes away and does relatively well , gets another crack in the UFC , scores a quick KO over Franklin (not taking anything away from that BTW) and all of a sudden he's top of the radar again !!! , its ****in banana's , Belfort and Wanderlei should be made to fight it out @85 before Anderson is even considered for a fight with Belfort :deal

And now all of a sudden because Sonnen implements a gameplan and pushes Sliva to his absolute limits , every wrestler he faces will dominate him  GTFOH !!!!! Evans is an orthadox wrestler who can stand up and box , he mixes un predictability on the feet with excellent TD's , and yes would present a very real danger to Silva @205 , as would most of the pack , and thats what im saying !!!! , while Sonnen is getting the PED's out of his blood stream , give us something worth watching with Silva attached @205 , look at the MW's , and pick out a worthy contender !!! , you cant because there isnt one , apart from Sonnen :deal

Silva has to fight @205 until Sonnen is back in business ................

NATE MARQUARDT IS READY! MAKE IT HAPPEN!

And what restrictions is that guy talking about? Who is restricting any fighter from going up/down in weight classes? Has he been drinking?

Woah, don't get your panties in a bunch Nancy.

I read your post. It makes no sense at all. You provide awful reasoning for thinking that anyone is stopping fighters from moving up or down in weight when there are many direct counter examples to your theory.

Case and point: B.J. Penn, at the time current Lightweight Champion, moved up to Welterweight to fight Georges St. Pierre.

See what I'm saying? Your thoughts hold as much water as a rock.

So, relax. Think it over and come back when you can talk reasonably to adults.

Penn moved to 70 again to fight GSP because he shouted on a micro phone as loud as he could that he wanted to fight GSP again !!!!

Notice how i said again there :good Penn had just demolished Sherk and happened to be one of the only men who'd come close to actually beating GSP in recent years (Hughes was beaten twice after the 1st fight and Serra was demolished in the re match) , which even for someone as short sighted and stubborn as Dana White , made almost perfect sense , hence the re match !!!!

    GSP's notable wins @170 :

    Hughes twice
    Parysian
    Trigg
    Heiron
    Sherk
    Serra
    Koscheck
    Hardy
    Fitch
    Penn twice
    Alves

    Sliva's notable wins @185 :

    Leben
    Franklin twice
    Henderson
    Sonnen
    Maia
    Lutter
    Marquardt
    Cote
    Leites

Is that not clearing out a division ?????? :huh

    Its been a pleasure

Yes, it's been an absolute pleasure reading your list of complete non-sequiturs.

What does that at all have to do with restriction to a division? You make no sense at all. None.

The conversation is here..............*....you're over here -------> *

Want to try again? (I hope, for both our sakes, not.)

I don't see Silva moving up to 205 until after fighting the winner of Belfort/Okami. Silva seems in no rush to get in the mix at 205, possibly because of a few friends in that division (lil Nog and Shogun) and one of which that is making a comeback soon.

Silva could also stay and wait for a GSP megafight. Either way.. I don't see him moving up in weight until this time next year. Sucks, I know.

Why does Sonnen need to be out for Silva to go up ? Silva already tapped his ass.

I think GSP would need to be "out" before Silva would consider moving up. If GSP wins that rematch, then that will be the fight to make if Silva doesn't have anything lined up. I think Dana was off a few months ago when he was said that both had some cleaning up to do in their divisions before the fight could be made.

I would love to see Silva fight Bones Jones if Bones Jones is still on the upswing. Could be epic. From the way Silva was taken down at will, it doesn't seem that he is ready for that jelly. What I wouldn't give to make that fight happen tomorrow.
