Hey guys, I recently saw this movie and I think all boxing fans should give it a try. Without a doubt my favorite boxing movie.

It is called Crying Fist. Despite its awkward title it is totally worth watching.

It is about two different boxers, one is a forgotten Olympic medalist who has hit rock bottom and the other is a thug who has gotten into trouble with the law and is learning to box in prison. The movie is split evenly between the two as it leads to their dramatic confrontation.

Lots of heart and soul in the film. The characters are interesting, the story is compelling and the fight choreography is pretty damn solid.

It is a foreign film, so if you don't like subtitles it may be a bit of a struggle for you; but other than that there is no reason NOT to watch this film.

Has anyone else here seen it?

Great movie, typical high quality South-Korean stuff with the awesome Choi Min-sik, what more do you want?

    Old Boy is immense.

Intenral Affairs (?) is a sick Korean film aswell. Taiguki (?) is good aswell.

Best foreign film has to be Kontroll, its Hungarian but 9th Company a Russian/Uzbek war film is in with a shout.

The Infernal Affairs trilogy is actually good old fashioned Hong Kong cinema, and quite a ride, I love it! If you liked Taegukgi/Brotherhood of War, I'd suggest the less Hollywoodish Welcome to Dongmakgol and the high drama Joint Security Area, both on the Korean conflict. The latter was directed by Oldboy's Park Chan-wook.

But save the green planet? I couldnt get into it, found it too ridiculous.

My mate is really into all this so I'm sure he can hook me up with the movies. But seriously, watch Kontroll, best foreign film out there and 9th Company is a good watch if you got time on your hands.

Remember the hammer in Oldboy? If you wanna see it in action, The Chaser is you movie! Damn that's one ****ing violent movie, almost knocked me out. Yeah, Green Planet is not for everyone, it's 'too much', but the ending is cool.
