"We have said from day one that we are keen on the fight and we want it to happen. Frank Warren sent us a generous offer and we have in-turn made them a better offer, a substantially better offer, but as yet I haven't heard anything back."

here we go with groves thinking too much of himself and hinting at wanting to build it up so he can take more of our money.

boxing is abotu levels. at the moment groves and degale are the exact same level. both undefeated with the odd good performance. one is the c'wealth champ and one is the number 1 contender for the british title. make the fight happen.

 

I don't think either side is overly keen for the fight to happen now. Warren makes a 48 hour "take it or leave it" BS offer, an offer that has now expired, and Groves starts saying that he doesn't need DeGale and maybe the fight should build up.

If Frank matches/increases, this could happen.

 

Why doesn't Groves just fight on FW's show instead? Haye did with Mac and beat him and if Groves thinks he can win, why not do the same and then act smug about beating a FW fighter?
