He had flu during fight week and came in well below 160lbs,his lightest ever apparently. Steward said he was so concerned with how he looked that he was gonna call it off but lee said he wanted to fight because it was on tv and if he pulled out he may not get another tv date in the states. It''s not an excuse,im just stating facts. He may very well of lost anyway if he was fine.

    can you elaborate...

Fight against TBA in two weeks is happening -Thats a reality
Fight against duddy is definitely on the cards -very realistic
Fight against duddy's conquerer Chavez Jr -don't see why not?Lee would have a decent rep, lots of fans and would seem to be a good fight for chavez as far as promoters are concerned...

If all those fights are successfull for Lee I dont see why he shouldn't have the right to knock on the door of one of the belt holders come March/April...They would see him as having a decent rep, a good following and would prob consider him as less of a danger than other big names..

I could understand if you said, its not likely to happen, but to dismiss it as totally unrealistic is a bit over the top....

Andy Lee is a very good fighter who is more than capable of winning a world title. The chances of Barker, McEwan or Duddy beating him are pretty slim to be fair, Lee V Macklin would be 50-50 but the other 3 he would beat comprehensively imo. As has been said before I think his size, power and technical ability would pose a lot of problems for someone like Williams but obviously he will need to step up his level of opposition before he is put in with any of the top men at 160.

Maksym Bursak and Craig mcwan are better fighters than lee and will achieve more in the pro game because they beat Brian vera and lee didnt.

go on andy, you can do it. i think you will beat paul williams, i wouden't like to see you fight martinez, id pick that to be a bad clash of styles, but whoever you get for your title shot, good luck with it.

Fight against a TBA in two weeks - Realistic

Fight against Duddy in Texas???? Makes no sense and I cannot see it happening. More likely that he fights another TBA.

If that did happen and Lee won.....why would he get decent rep. He beat John Duddy so what?

Chavez Jnr is fighting at Light Middle and he not going to face anyone of the quality of Andy Lee unless they bring a huge amount of money to the table...which Andy Lee doesn't.

If Andy Lee does beat Duddy, it will be at least another year before he fights someone decent in the top 15.

Matthew Macklin, Gennaday Govlokin, Sebastian Zbik, Fernando Guererro, Hassan N'Jakim guess what they have all done that Andy Lee hasn't??? Faced someone inside the top 15. Until Lee does that he, and his fans need to keep quiet about world titles.

Also the timeframe is unrealistic for such big fight. The only reason Lee has been active recently is because he is fighting stiffs in Texas barn yards.

Isnt Cottos Dec fight in NYC? Which would make an Irish fight realisic due to ticket sales. Arum will probably use Duddy for Foreman or someonone else though.

Why would it be another year before he fights someone in the top 15? Youre basing that on the past. Presuming he wasnt injured in any Dec fight theres nothing stopping him fighting a rated guy by may next year.

Lees been active because hes been fit for the first time in 18 months. The cook fight was on 2 weeks notice. Hardly gonna get a top fighter. Walker was reasonably respectable for a non televised card.

You say Lees fans need to quiet dwn about world titles. Rob thats what boxing fans do. Live in hope. Just because youre a pessimist doesnt mean you should **** all over other peoples optimism. People talk aboutguys after 3/4 fights being world champions. Thats just the way it is.
