I give him credit for what he has achieved. It is really impressive. He is one of the fighters who are stepping up in good time. Guys like him and Cleverly are needed in this game. Technically he hasn't really changed and leaves much to be desired BUT he is a grinder and thats always fun.
Proved me wrong tonight, thought he was really good tonight. Maybe he might get the press he wants without doing silly things to get attention! He's a charicter which heaveyweight boxing needs, still a few questions if he get drawn into a real tear up, but really impressed. Got to fight fury next.
I really liked him tonight too. He really needed this performance tonight, showed he can keep up the pressure in the later rounds and executed some lovely shots both to the body and head. See if Frank can get him a shot at Dimitrenko, I'd like to see Chisora deal with a big guy and I think Chisora could replicate Chambers game plan against him.
Really liked the way he boxed in the 8th (I think it was the 8th anyway). When it looked like they were both tiring, I was thinking the last few rounds were going to be slow clinch jobs then Del comes out bouncing on his feet. That's when the fight was won for me.
I wouldn't like to see him in with Wladimir just yet I have to say... Dimitrenko would be a good option. Dimitrenko's a big guy, but he's a bit soft centered.
Was an article at the scene where Chisora was slating Povetkin, calling him another pretender playing the heavyweight game. He also said in the same interview,if he got a chance to fight the champ,he'd take it with both hands. IMO-this is too soon and would be a disaster for Warren's dec card as his fight with Sam Sexton made the bill.
And to think on the first page I slated him :rofl Del Boy has won me round big time, although at this stage Wlad would smash him to bits Dimitrienko for the Euro would be a good fight. Maybe Banks as a 'name' (he's kinda' known) as I think Chisora would batter him.
