See this is the problem. Lee has been talking about taking a step up for 3 years now and the only time he made the move was the Vera fight. The level of opponent he is fighting now is the same as it was 3 years ago.

He is meant to be such a big star and ticket seller in the US and Ireland but he cannot secure a big opponent. So he is either not as big a star as you guys make out, or he isn't that good and thats why he is being protected.

The whole point is Lee is "TALKING" about taking this fights.....but where is the actual fighting. Duddy is not a step up either. Domenico Spada, Gregorz Proska, Enrique Ornelus, Miguel Espino, David Lopez, Noe Gonzalez Alcoba, Lajuan Simon. These are all fighters that our not big names but are ranked ahead of Andy Lee with the EBU and World Belts. If he is serious about fighting for a world title he needs to fight one of them and not a chump like Duddy.

Looks like Bran Vera will be fighting Kelly Pavlik on the PAc-Marg undercard.

As I said, in boxing you don't always get what you deserve.....

Neither of those fights were 3 years ago and Walker is better than both imo, and significantly better than Falliga.

He isnt and they were 2 1/2 same bloody thing. The point is Lee hasn't faced anyone at world level but is talking about world titles.

what the **** is your obsession with fighters talking about world titles??

Every boxer does it from a very early stage. Its not beyond the realms of possibility that Lee could get a title shot in a weak division within the next 9 months, so give it a rest... Your point makes no sense in a game where almost every boxer talks **** these day...

If your an undefeated prospect your allowed to talk about one day winning a world title (example Carl Frampton, Martin Linday, Paul McCloskey)

If you have lost but have come back and beat world level opponents and shown considerable improvment since your loss you can talk about a potential world title fight (example Matthew Macklin, Rendall Munroe)

If you have lost in your only ever step up in class and have not beat anyone beyond that level since that loss, you shouldn't be talking about world titles (example Andy Lee)

Lee has only been a pro for four years! In that time he has faced opposition on a par with your hero Barker who has 2 years on him in the professional ranks but I don't see you complaining about Barker "fighting chumps".
I must have missed your objection to Chavez jr fighting Duddy, and I'm sure you'll have similar objections when Yuri Foreman fights him. Or is it just Lee you have a problem with?

For one Barker isnt talking like Lee. It was 1 1/2 years and Barker had a year out when his Brother died.

Why would I have an objection to Chavez fighting Duddy....it was a meaningless fight between two fighters with limited ability. People have to make a living.

Stop being such a pansy, anybody with ambition and talent talks about world titles. There is no guidelines or rules for talking.

John duddy is number 9 with the WBC a win there is good form for lee , a ko win and people will compare him with chavez jr and doors will open for him....

Lee and his team knows what he has to do get a world title shot and i fully believe he will get there.

Every fighter starts out with world title dreams but only the talented one wins will get there. Only the best will be stay against good comp when they are at the top...
