no he didn't..he was accepting clinches and breathing hard as hell.

if anyones underrated it's probably ottke. too many people feed off of heresay and rumour rather than actually watching the fights for themselves. don't get me wrong, he was dull as **** and always did the bare minimum to win but deserves more credit than most realise.

 

Joe didn't land anything.

Joe won an entire fight without landing a punch.

 

he's a 168/175lb man throwing 1000+ punches a fight, try it sometime, it takes a fair bit out of ya.

 

I'd rather have Sven's technique than Joe's slapping style.

 

You're talking as if Calzaghe was in his prime at that point. He was not clinching and breathing hard against Jones...he was having fun, whether the bout was relevant or not.

Like I say, i'm no fan of his but if you couldn't see that he had a varied skillset, unrivalled stamina and an excellent chin you either didn't watch enough of him or have a blinkered view. Either way, it's pointless continuing this discussion with you.
