i actually like the guy, so i don't know why there seems to be so much hatred towards him, maybe its just the americans? he comes across as a decent man and a reasonable fighter, he seems ok.

Because he's an arrogant ****. If you're going to talk smack have the skills to back it up. Bisping isnt half as good as he thinks he is and he talks a whole load of trash. He fought like a ***** vs Hendo when he realised he bit of way more than he could chew. He ended up getting his face rearranged courtesy of a patented Hendo over hand right.
you've obviously seen a lot more of him than i, as whenever i've seen him interviewed he's always been polite and very humble.
He talked all that **** and Hamil is a deaf guy who has done immensely well in MMA. Bisping is just an *******. I dont know what fight the judges were watching that night.
I think the main problem is he talks the talks but in the words of Dan Henderson he 'hits like a *****'
I'm no great fan of Bispings but 90% of the hate is US anglophobia, theres are a ton of similarly overhyped arrogant americans who don't get anything like the same venom directed at them,
My reason for not liking him was the unsportsmanship towards Matt Hamill.(after Hamill was robbed :-( ) He acted like he just dominated Hamill and he didnt even want to give the man his due! He's a solid second-tier middleweight, but his reputation has been poor ever since the Hammil incident. There is a lot of hate for the guy out there.
