That's why watching that fight is so hard for me. He was putting on a beautiful display...then all went pear shaped...still hurts man..:-(

I know its not in the man (machismo and all), but in hindsight he should have tried to tie-up Margarito more instead of wasting his legs so much over the first half of the contest.

The ending of that fight was heartbreaking.

How do any of you think Cotto v Hatton would have gone at LWW?

I've always thought Cotto would have been too much for him. Hatton when he stepped up to world level, used to lunge in with a big punch and then tie up. Cotto was fast enough to catch him coming in and heavy handed enough to hurt him.

And no Cotto thread would be complete without this comedy gold:

I feel a healthy Cotto at the start of his reign at LWW would of beat Hatton in a entertaining but in the end one sided battle. I think a weight drained Cotto would of been in danger with Hatton but would of just got the 'W'. I remember when he came on the scene and won the WBO title. Mcguigan was in Sky studio and said that Hatton would be best advised to stay away from Cotto for as long as possible.

For six rounds he looked a League above Margarito. Thereafter, the tide turned & it appeared Margarito was punching as hard in the latter rounds as he was in the early rounds.

Cotto is class & I hope he gets the winner of Pac vs Margarito!

Never thought much of him as a boxer-puncher to be honest, but he is a good honest pro and a warrior, ridiculous eyebrow plucking aside.

Also, why didn't he work the body more! Many mistakes that he couldnt afford against such a big man who had so much stamina. Many are technically better than Margo but few can do it for 12 rounds!
