Everyone has off days from boxers to bin men to IT geeks. Was a bit disappointed cos it was the first time I've watched Tony fight and I was hoping to see that KO power in action. I'm sure it was useful for Tony though, any experience in life which causes you to stop and reassess has got to be a positive thing. In this case, Tony should have had some alternative strategies to employ when the bombs weren't working and unfortunately they weren't there. Better to be reminded of it now, than later when the opponent is less forgiving. All the best for the future Tony :good
Just come back from a night on the **** (drowning my sorrows) and FN MADE UP you're not too downbeat Tony. Hopefully this fight will show you that even when you get frustrated you should keep your cool. WAR BELLEW (in an intelligent manner ) You've still got my backing Tone :good
WOW:yikes He's still got your backing has he:rofl You've got some neck after all the **** you've instigated on here & you now want to be pals:smh Do the decent thing & man-up:yep Go to his next fight & introduce yerself so he can SMASH out all yer teeth:rofl:bbb:good
Ok, the Bellew performance against Bob was a poor performance technically. It is a common problem with prospects and even more established pros to try too hard to get the KO and make a big statement, but forget about their boxing. After watching Cleverly against Murat - I thought he looked vulnerable and if he employed the same kamikaze tactics against Bellew he would be a sitting duck for Bellew's power and would get stopped. At the moment I can see a case for Cleverly out boxing Bellew if he fights the right fight. It will be an interesting match up in the future.
Quality post. Clev is VERY Good. But seemed far too happy to knock Tony down due to 1 bad performance as if he was thinking "Thank f#ck for that, I'll use this as an excuse not to fight him." Bomber will be back bigger, better and stronger for that experience.
I don't think I've said anything unfair in this thread whatsoever. It was a horrible performance, Bellew himself is clearly aware of this. This thread was getting made regardless, most have offered constructive criticism.
Hahaha brilliant that's so funny, have u ever thought of having your own comedy show. Bellew would wipe him out in quick time. No doubt. Bellew had an off night, no doubt but he will have learnt so much and let's not forget he did win the fight against a good awkward opponent.
He has a point, cus I been hearing that Danny Mac is now throwing combos like Meldrick Taylor used to. :hey
