I'm not into collecting things really. I still have my tickets from Hopkins vs. Winky though and that's about it.

Full tickets with stubs like the Carpentier and Willard ones are around £300-£400

    Just the ticket part £200

    Stubs £100-150

    Programs £400-£500

    All depends on the condition

I've got quite a few, the cheapest Dempsey ticket you'll get will be for the Gibbons bout (I've got 3 of 'em) probably because the fight was a flop with lots of tickets left unsold

Like I said I've never seen a Miske ticket, I've got a couple of stubs for the Firpo bout but again never seen a ticket for sale anywhere, seen a stub for the Sharkey bout (no names on it just the date and location so value isn't great) but never seen a full one for that fight either.

Funny mate because the story behind the Gibbons fight is a little piece of boxing history whereas the Miske and (to a lesser extent) the Sharkey fights were "routine" Dempsey bouts.

Yeah its weird how some survive in numbers and others are like hens teeth

Sharkey was a million dollar gate so you'd expect there to be a bunch floating around somewhere although it wasn't a title bout like the others and the Miske fight seems to get forgotten about, saying that I've never seen anything for the Brennan bout either

Cheers, I've got some very rare promotional pieces from the Shelby bout and they are fascinating to read real products of their era

I keep meaning to do a new thread showing some of my stuff, did one ages ago but have added some new bits since then

Its a bit fragile but I'll take some pics, not surprisingly its full of adverts! some things never change eh?

I've also got the program for Louis v Conn II which is quite unusual as MSG produced a program for the year and then only the middle pages were different depending on who was fighting

Fantastic stuff there Jack, the price of the face value on those tickets must have been very expensive back in that era too $10 to $60, any idea what that is in today's value?!?!

My wife's great unclue, he has a load of boxing magazines from the 40's onwards, he did say he'd let me look at them once, but that has been forgotton about! so I don't think I'll ever get to see them. I don't have anything at all of historic value for Boxing, got loads of football stuff from the 50's onwards though, but I suspect a lot of people also have stuff from that era.
