Just a messy fight. Was surprised you didnt set him up with the jab more, but has you've said you was just to gung ho. It happens, end of the day I'm only a poster on a soppy forum. But looking at Friday the jab is needed to set shots up especially at a higher level. Also cutting the ring off and not just following Bob round the ring. Throw a feint now and then. At least you're man enough to say it was a **** performance so fair play. IF you take your time (which must be hard with the power you ve got) and use the jab. McIntosh will be a easy fight with how upright he is. Good luck anyway. P.S Frank Warren should take out a training licence :happy I cant belive how much he comes over during fights you dont see promoters doing that with Roach & Steward :thumbsup
Tony, I just watched it on Sky+. Wasn't a performance to discard you as a top fighter. Sure you were bad in it, you looked to bomb Ajisafe out and when you couldn't you struggled to adapt. It was a learning fight for you, not everyone is going to fall over in front of you, and hopefully this will make you see this and be able to adapt in the fight. I saw a lot of positives in you as a fighter in that fight, and a lot of negatives, but these are negatives that can be changed. And you was just in a learning fight. Can't wait to see your next fight to see if you have improved on these things, a syou have the makings of a quality champion.
Fair play for coming on here and saying it how it is...:good What a learning experience on Friday... Still kept his strap at the Championship level after a self confessed poor performance against such an awkward customer...:yep Keep fighting your fight Tony and nobody else's...:good
you could say tony bomber had a bad night ,but he looked clueless .thats the shocking thing about that fight .imo danny would ko the bomber .
It's a pretty noteworthy topic to make a thread about, don't you think? The amount of **** threads you make Nutjob, you're in no position to say anything. Fact of the matter is, Tony posts a lot on here. Of course people are going to want to see his response and comment on, what by all accounts, is a big shock and not what we were expecting. I don't think I 'moaned' at all. I think it's called analysis, the kinda thing you and the likes of ontheup rarely provide, probably because you know **** all :good
obviously this thread is gonna be big because the guy takes the time out to come on here and talk to his fans as well as taking on board our thoughts etc. he's a top bloke and clearly respects what we think
Must be hard for your work/performance to be criticised by so many people but I suppose it's something you've got to get used to in sport
I don't wanna speak for Duranimal, but i think there may have been a misunderstanding here. I think he was just having a little fun and being facetious (I know sarcasm is a little difficult to get across in posts but some of the emotions should've helped). :good
Duranimal and I have had phone calls, we get on pretty well for the most part. I was trying to say that to Flint without entirely shooting him down. Duranimal knows what I'm about, as does Flint. I did want to address that standpoint on the thread in response to Duranimal, in case anyone else did think I was being harsh. This was hardly a 'hate' thread, nor a 'attention seeking' one. I wanted to create a definitive constructive criticism thread for us to talk/discuss the ffight in before five or six 'Lol@Bellew', 'Bellew Is a Hyoe Job' 'Clev would KILLLL BElleW' threads cropped up. I think the responses in this thread, the majority of them anyway, have been measured and constructive. Tonys input has rounded it off well. End thread.
