Ive noticed a pattern that many affluent filipinos in the U.S root against Pacman.

I dont know if its jealousy or not but here in So.Cal I also noticed that many rich filipinos for some reason dislike other rich filipinos. They always want to out do each other and establish that they are in a higher social class than the rest of their filipino countryman. It's quite sad really :-(.

I don't even know why any Filipinos would bother rooting against Pacquiao. Not like they have anything more to cheer for in the sports world.

It's not that she's rich, she just for some reason doesn't like him.

If there's one thing I've learned about Filipino culture from my wife, it's that Pinoys are some catty mother****ers. Petty, pick on dumb ****, hold grudges over minor things, **** like that. She's crazy if she thinks i'm raising our kids there. They can visit all they want, but they're gonna be 'Merican. You can rise through your social class here. In the PI, you ain't **** if you aren't already family isn't already established it seems.

The real sad **** is that most Filipino Americans would think they are superior to the Filipinos that just came over from the Philippines or as they call them, "FOBs." I think the popularity of Pac is what made arrogant Fil-Americans unite themselves with other Filipinos. I'm glad I was never one of those dipshits.

It's also considered a "surprise" to Filipinos when a Filipino was raised in America and is still able to speak Tagalog (or other dialects).

Yeah, but when Filipinos go through the immigration process and finally reach America they feel like they have just become established themselves here. They can live more comfortably here working hard than they can in the PI. They also feel rich because they can send some extra cash to the PI which is a petty amount to them here in the U.S but is very significant to their relatives in the PI which creates loads amount of arrogance. Causing them to feel superior over other Filipinos.

I grew up on the east coast of the US. Haven't had a problem with the American transplant Flips that think they're better and dig the smell of their own farts, but maybe it 's because they had to work a little harder to get across the country instead of just plopping down wherever they came on shore in Cali.

My wife HATES it in the states but she didn't want to leave the PI to begin with. Her mom's idea and she hates her (again. Catty mother****ers.)

    Exactomundo.

I was guilty of this too in high school and so were most of the Americanized Filipinos.

Because many filipino think that you should forget how to speak tagalog. After a year or so in america they go back to phil and claim they can no longer understand tagalog :patsch
