Sure, I agree that P4P lists are biased against HW simply because they can't really "move up in weight" to challenge bigger guys. But still, you have to agree, moving up in weight to fight bigger guys is an impressive feat and there's a reason few fighters can do that effectively. If it were easy, a whole lot more fighters would be doing it.

And if you feel that smaller fighters are in the shadow of the HW division, what's your beef with the P4P lists in the 1st place? HW fighters can ideally get their glory simply by dominating their division. The smaller fighters have to move up and down in weight, putting on and losing pounds to get the same kind of publicity the most famous HW fighters have.

If you're pissed that HW's now don't get as much exposure as the smaller fighters... well, wouldn't you want to blame the not so exciting styles of the current champs before going at the P4P rankings?

Depends on how much you move in weight. 7 pounds shouldn't matter that much.

My problem is the boxing world is upside down right now. The smaller fighters have become more popular than the HWs. And something is wrong here.

sure, moving up 1 weight division isn't all that but fighters like Floyd have fought from 130 to 154, Pac from 108 to 147.

and if the smaller guys are more popular than the HWs, I'm pretty sure the current crop of HW fighters are to blame as well. There just isn't much competition there, it's hard to be excited if almost all the fights for the Klits (who don't have that exciting a style to begin with, and aren't even American) are pretty much foregone conclusions.

I don't see the point. I'm not a teenager is that's what you thought.

I just think there's too much emphasis on p4p at this moment. And I'm trying to find out why.

There are two different negateable circumstances in your theory.

    1. SIZE has nothing to do with literal skill-set, however, SIZE CAN negate skillset.

    2. It is ABSOLUTELY possible to be the best at something (skillwise), and still get beaten at it, for whatever reason. Michael Jordan was the best player in the history of the game (arguuably)...but he has lost games.

    1. What do you mean it has nothing to do with skill-sets? The bigger you are the slower you move.

    2. Basketball is TEAM game. And in basketball you can lose games and still win the title.
