...into modern boxing at their ideal weight. Name the opponents that could possibly enhance said ATG's legacy. :good
i'd like to see rocky marciano actually, he is not my favourite boxers ever but he didnt have a great deal of quality opponents, and despite the heavyweights not being great now, he could certainly settle the debate of whether wlad is going to be an ATG. a fight against haye would be good too
Duran. Roberto Duran vs Floyd Mayweather Jr would be one of the most hellacious beatdowns of all-time. Though, obviously Floyd wouldn't even dream of being in the same arena at the same time as him, so I suppose this was not a great choice.
My idea is that Klits would completely brutalize, anihilate and simply **** him up making delusional myth lovers faint. I'd bring back Ali and let him have a run at the title. He stands a far bigger chance.
I'd bring back a prime Roy Jones and throw him in the Super 6. Wins over Ward, Dirrell, Froch, Abraham and, afterwards, Bute, would greatly enhance his legacy. I'd also like to bring back a guy like Greb or Langford so we could see with our own eyes just how good they were and and the argument about old-timers versus the new guys.
Im not a Klits fan, but they would murder Marciano, Marciano was tough as ****, but his boxing skills left a lot to be desired.
Max Schmeling. None, he would fight at cw and today´s ce edition isn´t anywhere comparable to the 30s hw division. Tony Canzoneri. There are none around to improve his resume. Maybe in a few years though. Kid Chocolate. See above. Floyd Patterson. His would improve, he would start at mw and move up until hw matching the best in every division and end up beeing a p4p Top10-15. Dick Tiger. Hm, would clean out mw, smw and lhw. If this would actually improve his resume. Perhaps in term of depth but not in term of quality.
