Not too sure Red Man.. Next 48-72 hours are vital.. I'll keep people informed with what's going on regarding me..:good
Class! Any chance you could land one on Cahills chin when you get a minute? and if he does that then I really will lick his ass. In the figurative sense of the phrase. . . . . . . . . . . . . .
By the way I thought you backwards roll was better than macintosh's against clev. But nowhere near as good as woodhalls against Joe!!! :good Just noticed my 3000th post!!!
Tony iv booked the 23rd off, fingers crossed Il get to watch you in the city and we can get the train back on the rails and get back to bigging yye up, Stephen coyb
Should be a learning experience for Bellew. I remember watching Lennox struggle badly with awkward customers in some of his early fights, the key is to learn... you don't learn much by cruising past all of your opponents. I don't think it will do him much harm mentally either, as the reality of winning fights at a decent pro level and Tony's attitude seemed to be a bit out of kilter. He seemed a bit too worried about impressing, and what the audience might think. Just do the job... Hopefully it will teach him to have more patience, much, much more patience, and to sense and pounce on openings rather than forcing them. I think Ajisafe is a decent fighter too. He proved he was tough, and game, and conditioned. And clearly had decent skills, and was a southpaw. If taken the right way, it should be a fight to build on.
You've showed a lot of class there Tony.I must say when I critisized you in my post I had no idea you came on here,i suppose i would have shat myself if you'd been standing behind me in a bar!:yep You've never bitten at any of the flak, just took it on the chin good on ya.:good All the best for your next fight I'm sure you'll look a lot better.
Watched the fight , with a lot of expecatations , and I was just really disappointed . Being such a good amature , and good backing I really couldnt understand some of the basic mistakes he was making. The main positive is he looks and sounds intelligent , learns from his mistakes . But if he comes in square , hands down , mouth open and chin in the air again and against a banger it will be a short night.
just after seein this thread been a few days since ive last been on altho the fight was a stinker no offence bomber its good that youve got the 12 rounds under your belt and still have the commonwealth belt you'll come back stronger for it...... havent read all 13 pages just a quick scan through but do u remember clevs fight with vegas abosolute stinker but look at him now.... i see the bomber not letting something like friday night happen again..... good luck on the 23rd october buddy!!!
You aint forgetting this pal. When your out there on the world scene, ESB Brit forum will be going, 'Your next opponents name', well hes better than Ajisafe so Bellew is getting sparkled. You have reacted well from it, so its a great sign. Just think how many prospects at your stage have to go through that much adversity early on. It can only serve you.
That would be totally the wrong move. All this blaming the trainers after a bad performance is getting threadbare and is a load of nonsense, it's the easy way out. Bellew is a mature/smart guy and should've listened. Sometimes fighters have to take responsibility, which to be fair to Tony he has. Arnie Farnell is one of our best current trainers. He told him exactly the right instructions from what I could hear, the few times Sky didn't take an ad break or talk over the corners.
Tony, not sure if this has already been brought up, but was it true that you didn't rehydrate to your normal fighting weight against Ajisafe? If so, may have had something to do with you not being quite as sharp as usual, and perhaps even affecting your punch resistance? (reference to the knockdown). All the best on the 23rd mate!
