Just came across this article, i think its bull**** but personally dont know much about the writers. What you guys think?

By Dave Lahr: I never thought I’d see the day when Freddie Roach would come clean about his fighter Manny Pacquiao not being ready to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. Well, here it is straight from the horse’s mouth in an article by Ronnie Nathanielsz at inquirer.net: Roach says “I would like to see him [speaking about Pacquiao] get a couple of more fights, then get Mayweather Jr., and get out of there.” There it is, folks. Roach is admitting that Pacquiao isn’t ready to face Mayweather Jr.

Let me translate what Roach appears to be say – Pacquiao needs to fight some more guys, because he’s not ready for a boxing demon like Mayweather. Oh, this is really bad. Roach still doesn’t think his fighter is ready after all this time. Okay that explains everything about why we haven’t seen a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao yet.

If Pacquiao isn’t ready to face Mayweather after all this time, he surely wasn’t ready to face him earlier in the year when they were quibbling about not wanting to take random blood tests 14 days before the fight. What are we going to do about Roach and his lack of confidence in his boy Pacquiao. He’s got to take the training wheels off already. Pacquiao is a man, so send him out to his fate and let him take on Mayweather.
Who cares if Pacquiao gets destroyed Mayweather? It’s just a sport and that’s what it’s about. You have to compete against the best fighters and sometimes that means you get royally spanked. It’s better that Pacquiao get stripped clean by Mayweather rather than fighting all these ex-champions at catch weights. I’ve had it with watching Pacquiao beat up on guys that have already been beaten black and blue before Pacquiao has even fought them. Roach needs to send his boy Pacquiao so he can take on Mayweather, take his beating, and return as a man – a defeated, that is.

I think it's more likely that Roach was thinking Manny should have a few more fights, intentionally look past his best, so that Floyd will then have the courage to sign the contract as opposed to beating up the mother of his children over an Iphone. Just speculating, though.

They are ****ing ******ed if thats the information they gleaned from this quote.

More likely what he's saying is he wants Pacquiao's last fight to be against Mayweather, and he's not ready to retire just yet.

Roach is a master psy-war expert. He wants Floyd to come out of his shell and fight a seemingly unprepared Pacquiao.

Look, directly after the Pac/Cotto fight, a writer to Ring Magazine asked Freddie Roach about the Possibility of fighting Floyd Mayweather. And Roach's reply: "We will need more time to prepare for Floyd Mayweather's style".

Bottom Line, Pacquiao has NEVER fought anyone like Floyd Mayweather. The most skillful fighter Pacquaio has fought is JMM, who won 16 of the 24 rounds in their two meetings. And Floyd is Bigger than JMM, in fact, I think people will be surprise of how much bigger Floyd will be when they step into the ring together. FLoyd is Faster than JMM, Longer reach, a better Boxer, way better defensively, crisper and sharper offensively and obviously much better defensively. Although this is the fight everyone wants to see, it's a total mismatch on paper, and in the ring. And for the record, Roach has mentioned this several times...including everything I just said. In an interview with ESPN's Brian Kenney, Roach said: "Manny has never fought a fighter like Floyd Mayweather, we are going to need far more time to develop a game plan and strategy for Mayweather."

But hey, why let facts get in the way. Did anyone noticed how I gave an opinion on the possible Mega-Fight between Mayweather/Pacquiao without insulting anyone. Ya' know it's real easy to do...you might wanna try it sometime.

sure, as *****s would if Roach said Pac needed a few more fights to prepare.

Of course Roach didn't say Pac needed a few more fights to prepare, so it's a moot point.

As soon as I saw the name Dave Lahr, I instantly knew that the article was complete bull**** and should not be considered authentic or plausible under ANY circumstances. Dave Lahr is not only the worst writer on BN24, or the worst boxing writer on the web, he is the worst writer I have ever seen PERIOD!

His most recent articles have been about the Vitaly - Briggs fight. His recent titles have been along the lines of; "What will Vitaly's excuse be when Briggs KO's him?", "Did Vitaly make the biggest mistake of his career by choosing to fight Briggs?", "Briggs will cut Vitaly to pieces", and "Will Briggs KO Vitaly with one punch?" There are many more along these lines.

How can a writer so ******ed and biased be allowed to write articles on a site regularly viewed and referenced by boxing fans? Do not believe a word that comes out of that ******s mouth/keyboard, he is a disgrace.

Floyd hasnt fought the style that pacquiao brings either so it goes both ways but pacs is definitely easier to work out and create a plan for.

What i have found out from the articleif it is indeed correct is we will fight floyd at the end of his career because he has no where else to go outside of top rank fighters cotto margo pac.
