When did Holyfield duck Lewis? Maybe right after Lennox was KO'd in 2 rounds vs jorneyman McCall?

And their ducking made Lennox relinquish his WBA and IBF titles, I guess?

Not really, if we acknowledge that there are different types of fear. I believe Tyson created a very emotional type of fear in opponents once they were in the ring with him. Wlad seems to create a realistic resignation on fighters who watch him, they see that it's virtually impossible to exploit his weaknesses. Teddy Atlas' line of Povetkin needing more time is a clear expression of that resignation. In truth he knows Povetkin can never beat Wlad.

Ive been a huge Wlad fan since way back in the day, and its awesome to finally see him have the heavyweight division in an iron grip. Worthy contenders are deemed no hopers or are afraid to fight him, its insane.

That being said, Wlad is in a position, IMO, that he might have to start making some financial concessions here towards the end of his career if he wants to up his legacy. He is rich enough where if he gave his opponents a little more then their getting its not going to break him, and i think it would be a good trade off to get the fights he needs to secure his legacy.

    Just IMO.

totally agree with you. He already made an exceptional offer to Dave which he never did before.

a freaking 50/50 Split for one WBA paper belt.

Wlad holds 3 belts plus THE RING belt and gives Haye a 50% offer?

Come on this is hilarious! Did an established Heavyweight Champion made this offer before?

They fight everyone. Any time any place.

Shows how weak the Heavyweight division is at this point in time outside of the top 4 or 5.

Sad but true. Guys like Povetkin, Solis etc. know it's a much easier task to land a lucky punch to take out Haye thanks to his abysmal defense than to land a big punch on Wlad without taking an abnormal amount of punishment first.

Well at least the contenders in Tyson's day hop in the ring with Mike.

We cant say the same for the contenders of Wlad's day lol.

Yep, Ruiz was the WBA champ 2004 - 2005 and Harrison was the WBF champ in 2004 (not to be taken lightly because he beat a Dutch guy to take it!)...
It's what happend the last few years that counts, and they both didn't do too well, or otherwise you could say 48 year old Holyfield should be the #1 contender because of his accomplishments in the past.

This is getting ridiculous from the K2 fans. You guys are turning into cheerleaders "Wlad and Viatali their our men Haye can't beat them no one can wooooo go fight win." This is crazy. Mormeck was willing to fight Wlad but turned them down because of the deal. Haye was willing to fight Wlad but turned them down because of the deal. Solis has already called out Vitali and is positioning himself for a title shot as we speak. Chambers, Peter, and Arreola have recently got in the ring with the K2 brothers. Briggs is calling out Haye but he is fighting Viatli next. I understand that you guys love them I understand they are having a great run but you guys are overdoing it here.

    Agreed, very true.

I actually think Wlad might be able to get Adamek in the ring with him in december if he offers a little more than the mandatory split. Adamek vs Maddalone is a shitty fight and can be erased if something bigger turned up.

Now that Wlad is the undisputed HW champion, holder of the ring belt, he should also drop his ordinary belts, which could help build worthy opponents for him. The IBF, WBO, IBO straps do nothing for him but eat his earnings and force him into questionable mandatory fights, like Austin for example.

No Kel he's right, no one wants to fight Wlad they're scared because he won't just beat them he will obliterate them.

regardless of whether you think it's a Tyson level fear or not those guys are the ones in the ring getting 250 lbs of possibly the hardest hitting HW in history whacking them for 12 rounds.

There's no shame in getting KTFO by Tyson but getting physically and mentally embarrassed by Wlad over 12 leaves emotional scars - we'e seen the evidence and are seeing it in those unwilling to fight him.

This isn't complicated..... Haye is smaller and less experienced and so on paper he seems like the easier fight. The Klits draw little money and offer challengers horrible contracts. Haye makes a lot more money in the UK than they make anywhere and apparently he isn't as bad when it comes to raping his opponents.

This is all kind of pointless though as the only HWs who have any chance at beating Haye, Wlad or Vitali are Haye, Wlad or Vitali. The division blows and any matchup involving other fighters is a waste of time.
