Well -- the mention of Pirog makes me think back to the time when dozens of posters on here all agreed that Ward and Dirrell were to green to be in the tourney. They proved us wrong, and Pirog might do the same.

Yeah, it's unreal to think that Ward and Dirrell was seen as too green for the super six, and now it's Taylor who's out,
while Ward has beaten Kessler and Green, while Dirrell took care of AA, and made it difficult for Froch.

Pirog probably is as good as any besides Bute, and he's exciting.

I think the main issue with Pirog would be name recognition. Showtime may not want him because outside of hardcore circles he's just an obscure Russian middleweight. We know he's talented, but can he put asses in seats?

Bute is still to expensive for Showtime's budget.

Pavlik's dollar value has obviously dropped, and he'd have a good chance to advance based on knocking Green out. However, money would still be an issue, and options would be a huge hurdle because KP is pretty loyal to HBO.

I'm no Bika fan, but Bika and Green were suppose to fight an elminator for Taylor's spot, but it did not happen. Bika has name recognition, and he is in no position to make big financial demands. I think they'll end up bringing him in.

Money talks. Well Bika vs Green is going to be a real dog fight if it happens. And if it ends like I hope, neither guy going through to the semis, It won't be much more than an afterthought.

Maybe Kessler can beat up the winner when he's ready.

A case of fans assuming just cause a fighter has not done it before, they aren't capable of it.

you must be talking about the britts. The point is that Dirrell was really nervous going to fight Froch in Nottingham, in his first real test.
He did good though and showed skills against AA.

Who would you replace with Kessler?

My pick would probably be Brinkley. Given that Bika just lost and I honestly doubt that Bute would join this late...The best logical choice IMO would be Jessie Brinkley.

Why?... He's scheduled to fight Bute so not that likely he'll jump right in the S6

I forgot about his fight with Bute:patsch...My mistake...At this moment it would be hard to get lets say a Dawson or Pascal as a late replacement...Hell its kinda hard to even come up with a good contender to compete at this stage...I guess you could probably throw Andrade in the mix...Maybe Miranda.
