floyd aint no marquez who is a combination fighter who does'nt stop punching....floyd is a mininmal puncher!....it is irellevant comparing them!

 

Yea even though punchstats aren't really correct it shows how close the fight was... And it really showed that marquez was throwing power shots to slow pac down..

because when marquez try to just counter pac he eats a lot more....

Marquez is a slow starter with a low output. Also, his success against Pac wasn't about combination punching, more about accuracy and timing.

 

yeah man......theres one huge reason why jmm could'nt win vs pac in close fights....that is coz he could'nt stopped KISSING the canvass....lol

 

JMM is a boxer puncher... Thats what bailed him out against Pac, at 13o he had very good power... Even at 135 he had enough power to take care of Casa and Diaz...

Without that power Pac would have bulldozed him.. JMM had the heart to get up every time Pac floored him...Will Floyd???

 

You don't have to call it "consistent", but you sure have to admit it's "effective".

In terms of jabbing, Mayweather is superior but I can see Pacquiao doing what he did to Cotto when he jabs.

 

Definitely accuracy and combination punching... But in order to get those shots off, JMM was willing to walk into the lions den..

 

The fact that he fought to a draw with a guy who knocked him down three times speaks volumes about how well he was doing.

 

They also had a different game plan the second fight. Pacquiao wasn't as aggressive in the 2nd as he was in the 1st. They were trying to counter JMM, Pacquiao's right hand was just off by a little; and I think his timing has improved.

Floyd threw everything at Hatton; and did his best to take JMM out of there in the later rounds, he couldn't.
