No I think Amir's underrated though, stylistically he could pose problems for FMJ with his height/jab/speed/workrate. He certainly hasnt earned a shot at Floyd though, I think this is a plan B and hope to god plan A happens

sharba mitchell earned a fight with floyd being shot and 36 years old
JMM earned a shot by being a featherweight for 13 years and 36 years old
didnt zab judah "earn a shot" after losing to baldomir in his previous fight?
mosley "earned" his shot by being 39 years old
Baldomir earned his shot beating up a shot Gatti...who was shot when floyd beat him

when was the last time floyd fought a young fighter that was actually in his weight division...i honestly cant remember........
    :rofl:rofl

the only guys that dont earn shots at floyd are ones that will or have the ability to kick his ass

Honestly if Khan's cleaned up the 140 lb division by then and Floyd has been completely inactive I'd make this a tough fight for him. Maybe even tougher then Manny at that point as Manny will be older, will have just fought Margo (a much bigger puncher) and he will be a full time senator. Plus Manny's had a couple of health scares lately that have to indicate he's pushing his body very hard to do everything he does. Eventually people burn out. Who knows in 9 months time maybe this is the fight that the public will want to see.

I agree with you here. After checking his latest training videos I see an old man just going through the motions almost like boxing is now a side-line of his. Ballquiao's MANY extra-curriculars coupled with his age has taken its toll. It can be discerned that Ballquiao is NOT in his prime anymore. The wear-and-tear has been to some extent caused by his WRONG technique of boxing style though. Aside from pushing his body, he's got hit way too much.

Pac's style isn't wrong its simply not a slick style. He takes to give plenty of the best fighters do this. Just because all fighters aren't Pep or Sweet Pea doesn't mean they are crap. Fighters use natural attributes to define them and their style. Pac has an amazing chin, very strong punch, and very fast hand and foot speed, along with ridiculous stamina. Because of this he's adopted somewhat of a swarmer style but he likes to stay in mid range more then going into the pocket. So yeah he gets hit when he's going in for the kill, but look who ends up on their ass. Cotto hit him and then Cotto was demolished. This is how most of his fights end.
