you also edit a lot of your posts.

    is it because you're stupid?

after getting over the shock of how unhinged you are, i'm now back to enjoying the thread again.

you must come from one of the backwards states in america.i envision you having shoulder length hair, a moustache, and wearing one of those hillbilly lumberjack shirts.. am i close?

what part of america are you from?

i've seen a fair share of lewis fights and i think he's a brilliant heavyweight, easy top 10.

1)no one in history "whoops" ali. ever
2)lewis was vulnerable to a jab, and ali's is at worst 3rd best in heavyweight history
3)lewis's size, like many would be turned against him. ali moved. move better and faster than any heavy ever. to beat a mover you had to corner him and cut off the ring. lewis simply did not have that ability. ken norton and frazier could at spots but that wasn't lewis' style
4)lewis did not have the stamina to go 12 ali rounds, let alone 15
5)lewis was never, ever, EVER gonna knock ali out

1.frazier gave him a whoopin.why did ali say at the end of the third fight "that was the closest i ever came to death" then?

2.lewis did have problems with the jab in some fights.others he didn't.if a fighter has a good jab, you're gonna have some problems with it.

3.lewis's size wound never be turned against him.what makes you think that?
you say ali was fast.i agree.lewis was also fast.
lewis didn't have the ability to corner an opponent? what makes you think that?

4.in some fights, lewis's stamina wasn't great. but then in others, it was. you're just clutching at straws there.

5.i never said he would.i picked lewis to do it on points.but if you're saying he's not capable of knocking ali out, then you're crazy.lennox has the power to knock any heavyweight in history out. that's just simple fact.

    yes, a reasonable debate:thumbsup

1)frazier did, for sure. but we're talking prime for prime and frazier 1 was post prime and frazier 3 was WAY past prime.

2)the jab was the key to ali's offense and game. if you can't beat that jab, you can't beat ali

3)i have never seen lewis' movement up to the point where he could catch ali. even in great performances (ruddock, golota) he only closed the distance when he had guys hurt. using mercer as an example he was never, not for even a minute, able to put distance between himself and ray and got beaten up in the trenches

4)not clutching at straws. his stamina was sporadic, at best. ali's was never once tested over 15 rounds in his prime. if lewis was winded by the 8th in some fights, how would he look in the 15th?

5)i stand by this and more to the point, he wouldn't be able to hurt ali enough to throw him off his gameplan. sure, anyone could be knocked out but i don't see lewis doing it or severly damaging ali. but you're right about lewis' power and i don't want to discount that entirely. his right hand was brilliant

There is so much wrong with this post but I don't have the time to respond to the whole thing,so I'll just start from the beginning. In response to statement #1,"whoop" means to beat someone's ass(oops, that's you:lol:).Frazier won the Fight of the Century, but he did not "whoop" Ali.The FOTC was a close, give and take momentum changing fight. There was no "whooping" in that fight.Your post would indicate that A.You've never seen that fight. B.You're a ****ing idiot, which we already know so I'll go with B.:lol:As far as your refering to the Thrilla in Manila and why Ali said what he did,if you ever saw THAT fight:lol:,you would have known why Ali made that remark. It was the most grueling and physically and mentally challenging heavyweight fight I've ever seen, especially in the oppressive heat of Quezon City. And it was the greatest heavyweight fight I've ever seen.It was a clash between 2 past it gladiators willing to go to the edge to pull out the victory and neither of them had enough defense left to fully be able to avoid the other's attack.Neither Lennox Lewis nor any other heavyweight I can think of has engaged in such a physically and mentally demanding war of attrition and if someone out there has an example of one or more please let me know because I'd love to see it.Ass,you wanted an example of your stupidity, here's a good one right here.
