But saying that, Hopkins fought like an old, tired out, coward so maybe he didnt deserve the W.

I didn't enjoy it the first two times I watched it. It would take some significant renumeration to make me watch it again.

If you are a purist then yeah Hopkins won but didn't enjoy his style and for that he deserved a split decision defeat.

It wasn't a very good performance form BHop and Calzaghe gave it everything he had but I still had Hopkins ahead.

God man , who knows one guy who cant land and one guy who wont throw , it was a stinker then and its a stinker now. A close stinker though !

I have to give Hopkins the benefit of the doubt in every close round to give him the fight 114-113. Calzaghe was made to look sloppy as hell, but sloppy activity beats no activity in my book.

It's an odd(and ugly) fight. If you go with effectiveness you have to go with Hopkins though he threw so little but still connected at times. If you go with aggression you go with Calzaghe though he was hitting gloves and not landing for the most part so he was ineffective. I may watch & score it again after I get Hopkins' career set as I'm a big fan of his though he fought terrible in this fight with all of the acting, holding, etc. This fight should've been a draw as neither guy deserved to win. Imo, his fight with Jones in the rematch is more watchable but both are hard on the eyes. I actaully thought Jones-Hopkins fights were okay though most will disagree with me. The things I do as a fan lol.

The fight was close and could've gone either way. I personally thought Hopkins won, but didn't cry about the decision because it was so close. What that fight proved to me is that prime for prime, Zag was no B-hops. If that old version of Hopkins that can slip punches but can no longer throw them, can fight Zag that close and even win, the Hopkins that fought Trinidad would've gotten rid of Calzaghe.

Calzaghe was a clear winner. Hopkins hardly won a round after the 2nd.

Talks of robbery are ridiculous. This fight was promoted by Hopkins promoter, with American judges, held in America, and with an American referee
