Err...no it doesn't work because Murray hasn't beaten Paulie, so you can't even use that screwd logic. If you're gonna go down that road then Murray doesn't make it past 6 rounds against Marquez let alone be as competitive as Diaz was. Styles make fights and Murray would play right into Juan's hands. Murray can't fight backwards, he squares up too much, has no defence and is slower then Diaz. Diaz 'wasn't up to it' because he was facing two nightmere styles for him in Paulie and Marquez both good counter punchers. Hate to say it, but from what we've seen both Paulie and Diaz are a level above John Murray.

Sick fight. Would probably set some kind of Compubox record. I'd take Murray to win it, though, as I don't think Diaz's heart is in it anymore. He doesn't seem to be the force he once was. It was pretty sad seeing him try to stand off and box Marquez.

Both Diaz and Malignaggi would beat Murray by a pretty comfortable UD.

You may well be right, but I would sooner find out for sure than watch him in against b/c level opposition for another year!!!

Joe Gallagher has been talking of Juan Diaz as a possible opponent for John Murray, He is perfect, He lost two fights back to back to Malignaggi and Marquez and is a fighter on the slide.

Diaz would probably only fight for a title and since he isnt European I think that fight would be sanctioned by the EBU.

Diaz is a level above Murray, Khan is completely right about him, he just isn't world class and will struggle to win a world title
