There are quite a few. No doubt JJ was a murderous puncher at the weights he fought at, but you have to realize there are several fighters in history that have punching power phenomenal enough to score KO's at weights much higher than their natural fighting weight.
I agree 100%, but you did say Hearns was close... Jackson is ahead by quite a bit.. hearns is still one of the best... but Jackson is in another world
yea, and I am sure that Jackon's type of power would have KO'd Heavy weights if he could land the shots and not get KO'd himself . Jackson consistently put people to sleep in scary fashion, power like that in both Hands... it was devastating
I also put Naz as one of (but not the no1) p4p punchers. For his size he had amazing power. His corkscrew upercut has some serious venom. But i cant say in regards to the biggest puncher in the history of boxing. I am only 27 so can only comment on the boxers from my era and a few of the old school greats. Its really tough but this is my list in no order. Naz Tyson Hearns Foreman Mallinagi
You can estimate, you can speculate, but unless it's been proven and tested... It's all just in fantasy H2H land. I'm saying- the more impressive punchers are the guys that got in there and mixed it up with the big boys.
I know I know...my official answer is Hearns. Hearns could have KO'd LHWs when he campaigned at 147. I just wanted to throw Corrales' name and Ketchel's out there for consideration P4P.
he was billed at 5ft11 but everyone knows he in shorter than that im 5ft 11 when i met him he was at least an inch shorter
