fightnews are wrong about the date. warren has said its the 4th in glasgow.

according to boxrec the last time Zegan weighed 130lbs was 2001.

Weight drained and even before that he is in general ****. I read a fight report of his fight with Nate Campbell and it sounds like Campbell destroyed him, he lost on Saturday to a 3-0 fighter and then got the result overturned to a draw from the reports it sounds like a poor decision. This will be over in a matter of rounds.

I am very disappointed in Frank I wasn't expecting an elite Super Featherweight but he could have at least brought over someone remotely respectable, Zegen is worse then Burns Commonwealth opponents.

We always knew Burns would have a soft defence and to be honest it's not that long between the Martinez fight so i never expected him to have a live opponent but tbh that is shocking........but Warren knows that Burns will sell out because he's a world champion and the fans up there have a new hero. Shame if true though....

I agree but they could have got someone who is at least a warm body. This guy is coming off a draw with a 3-0 fighter, hasn't fought at 130 since 2001, his resume is horrific and he isn't even top 100, talk about going for the safe and cheap option. Hopefully this is a stacked card and Ricky KO's Zegan quickly so he can get a better defence early next year.

Yep, Burns is very vulnerable so you have to be ultra sure he's gonna win even if he has a bad night. He'll probabily try to make some moolah of him before he gets beat so expect a couple more soft touches...the opponent doesn't matter as you say Mand. because he can sell out up there now, they would come to watch him masturbating, LOL!

I'd seen him too and picked him to beat Jacobs. I just think Danny was way overrated and now Pirog seems to have inherited that hype. I'd pick him to beat Macklin as well though, but lets not paint him as some indestructible force. :good

I still think Jacobs will come good.

I hope you're right Rob. But there's some stories circling around about him. He was managed horribly up to the Pirog fight imo, he wasn't prepared for it.

Jacobs is the latest in a line of slick boxers who don't seem that slick, or seem to have a clue about fighting to a game plan. It's hard to say about him though because as soon as he stepped up he got knocked out.

Pirog's been massively overrated on the basis that he's a white guy who can use a shoulder roll. He's pretty good, but I'm not sure we've seen him against many guys that have been stern tests.

That said, middleweight is fairly weak right now other than Sergio.

Personally I'd love to see Gavin v Woodhouse. Both are among favourite fighters of mine, Curtis being an ex-Hull City boy too. I think he'll give Gavin a great fight, he has great conditioning as you'd expect of an ex-Premier League footballer and he loves a scrap. I stayed on to watch Frankie at Birmingham against a very game lad, I thought some of Frankies work would have stopped someone with less heart earlier but that Gavin was patient too, and I felt he had extra gears available.

Look forward to another great card, hats off to Warren really for putting these together, his current stable of fighters could mean each subsequent card has bigger and better fights (and belts) on the line for quite a while - if the main of them keep winning of course!

I think also we have to remember not only has Burns just come out of a FOTY candidate but also not long ago he was struggling with guys like O'Hara but Royal i totally agree with you mate. I like to seen a better opponent but nothing shocks me in boxing no more....
