Correct, but that was for their first bout. All the late money came in for Commander Vander. And you always have to pay attention to that late money especially when alters odds a ton.

For the rematch, it was 3-1 Tyson. Tyson drove a lot of fans to the poorhouse & he was only an 8-5 underdog in that Lewis fight. It was the only time Mike was an underdog.

This is true re: the surge of late money, most of the time. I used to bet on sports for a living and was among the many "wise guys" who were shredded by the late steam on bhop to beat calzaghe

Well -- whatever the odds were, I worked with a bunch of Tyson fanatics at the time, and pre-fight I looked 'em n the eyes, and said, "Evander is going to fight a really smart fight, and prove he is the better man." They all laughed. Post-fight work was a hell of a lot of fun for the next few weeks:yep

Do you recall all that late money and huge odds shift on the julian jackson Dennis Milton fight? Nobody even knew who Milton was and those odds were a complete turnaround.

Same thing happened, to a lesser degree, in that Klitschko Brewster 1 fight. I still recall the phone calls.

It always made me take special notice when big money comes in late on a King fighter in a title fight. You'd be crazy to not acknowledge something like that.

Actually It was as high at 12-1 favorite for the rematch and it brought down to 3-1 with late money coming in for Evander.

Tyson had a hell of an impact back then.
