Nothing wrong with a sparring partner having to wear bigger gloves.
As someone mentioned, it all depends what the fighter in training is working on, it could be a specific skill......

There was a youtube clip going around here months back , I think it was either a young DLH or Mosley vs JC Chavez.........I do believe it might have been DLH, as I think he even mentions it in his book that when he sparred with Chavez, he had to wear bigger gloves.

I saw that youtube clip, and Chavez was letting his sparring partner tee off on him......what Chavez was working on was his timing on defense to parry shots.
......which was the reason the sparring was wearing bigger gloves, as DLH's job was to thorw lots of punches while Chavez tried to deflect them.

I rarely post here on ESB but I have been witness to the three greatest threads in the history of mankind.

    1. The "floored" thread

    2. The "there are no even rounds and you guys are all morons for believing so" thread

    3. And now this particular doozy

Excuse me I think will buy a lottery ticket now. Maybe my luck at being at the right place at the right time will still hold.

Um, who cares what size the gloves are on the sparring partners.

The only thing that would be "exposed" would be the revelation that they were using 16 ounce gloves in the fight.

Please don't be so hard on spud. He is still a minor. Give him some leeway.

it's sparring dude. sparring. MUCH better gloves. guess pac is worried, what with all the knockouts he's been suffering lately against bigger men

I also heard Pac makes his opponents wear pillows while he himself wears a thin layer of cloth on his hands dipped in glue then covered with shards of glass. He also mandates that the sparring session take place in a ring of fire while his sparring partners are forced to drink water laced with traces of cyanide between breaks.

What a complete and utter jackass. How can this be possibly fair?
