What are the gel-hand wraps like? A gimmick?
I just use the cotton hand wraps, I'm not sure there are the best for my hands.

    Thanks

I've seen good reviews on them but because they've basically a mini-glove, it'll possibly change the fit of your boxing gloves. Guess it's a preference if you use them.

Thanks, that's a good point about fitting inside the gloves.

got my Everlast Protex x2 gloves today. the initial feel of them seems promising, not too soft and not too hard. still waiting on my heavy bag but so far the wear test seems promising.

Does anybody know how to clean the inside of boxing gloves. I've had my Ringside gloves for about 4 months and they're starting to smell real bad because of all the sweat.

When you find out please tell my boxing club how to do this!

I need some sort of interval timer to use when I'm training alone- something like the GymBoss, but cheaper (about £15 for something which is fairly simple!). The GymBoss: [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Gymboss-Interval-Stopwatch-GB2010-SOFTCOAT/dp/B0036USWUQ/ref=pd_bxgy_ce_text_b[/ame]

I live in the UK if that helps, thanks guys.

I was looking to get them, they look cool. I don't think that they can be used in competition though

Nah, pretty much training. My Protex 2s are 14 oz anyways. I think Protex 3s are comp grade though. They were under the comp section of ringside's website.

I was at Dick's sporting goods today and got a chance to try on the Everlast Gel Wristwrap gloves. I'd probably recommend against. Feeling the padding they provide, I feel a good set of wraps would provide superior protection.
