It is disgusting that your love of Wlad runs so deep that you are willing to build up Chisora as a great challenger instead of just admitting this is a ****ing terrible fight.

Without question 3 of the clearest signs that the HW division is completely ****ed:

    Vitali v Briggs
    Haye v Harrison
    Wlad v Chisora

My initial reaction was to roll my eyes, but...

Chisora is undefeated (if untested), and if he's in shape and motivated he might be able to put up a pretty spirited effort which might help his cause, even in defeat.

Wlad obviously wants a stay busy fight, and that means that he was going to have to either face an older, but more recognizable name, or a younger lesser known prospect/contender. Boytsov might have been the best choice (and a better record and ranking in other magazines) but Chisora does have a national and Commenwealth title, and the knowledge that he really has nothing to lose by giving it his best shot.

Could be worse, all things considered.

Ranked by who and how high? Last time I checked, Chisora wasn't ranked in the top 15 by either the IBF or WBO.

I understand Wlad trying to stay active but this is ridiculous. Wlad has close to 60 fights and now they are considering fighting rookies with about 15 fights.:patsch There's gotta be a better suited opponent than that. Toney, Thompson rematch, Dimitrenko, anybody with some experience.

Good choice! And Chisora is willing to fight!

Alexander Povetkin should be ashamed of himself!

It's a ballsy step up from Chisora.

As far as criticizing Wladimir - really, what's he supposed to be doing at this point? :conf

If Haye, Povetkin, Valuev, or Adamek aren't options what exactly is he supposed to do? No any one guy out of the Gomez/Solis/Dimitrenko/Toney/Ibragimov field is really better than the next, or than Chisora really.

Agreed....what is he supposed to do? He can only fight the best fighters that are available and willing to fight. And that's what he is doing.

Props to him for wanting the fight but that could harm his career. I mean he will get hurt badly and KTFO I believe while he is not ready for the world-class level yet. Even a guy like Byrd was shocked after his loss to Wladimir. It can have a huge negative impact on his confidence.

Im not going to read through every page, but for those shitting on wlad, rightly or wrongly, for this fight.

I have an open question to you.

Please list the three fighters Wlad should be fighting in Dec instead.... thank you.

I would go with a Thompson rematch, and a Dimi fight. Besides that there is seriously nobody out there that is eather ready, or willing.

This fight is bad, but Wlad shouldnt be taking such a huge hit for staying busy when there is hardly more then two fighters (one hes already fought, the other beat by a guy he KTFO) you could arguably say he should be fighting instead.

    Sad times.
