i was told he was nailed on to go with hatton. but after the headlines hatton has had i think he might change his mind and join warren. after the mag7 bill this must look an interesting option knowing he could be involved in nights like that.

If he signs with Warren hopefully Warren will put him pretty much straight in with Mitchell.

Doubt it. They can build that fight up to a massive event.

Lif he signs with warren could put him in with some decent domestic scraps .however would he make him world champion and give him the big gifts abroad he craves ?look at how ling hatton and calzaghe had to wait

I Hatton had faced Kos Tysuzu a year earliar he wouldnt have won.

Calzaghe didn't get the big fights becuase of himself not Warren. Warren sorted him out a spot on De La Hoya vs Sturm undercard and he pulled out injured.

Article says Top Rank are interested, they could get him Soto, Acosta, Antillon, Rios. TR have a lot of LW talent and we know Bob likes to keep things in house.

Would be intresting but they have no hisotry with UK fighters. If he does go with a US company, it would almost certainly be Goldenboy.

Sounds good. At least with Warren he’ll get the exposure he needs, as well as a few decent domestic scraps. The only downfall is that Warren will be more than aware of his short-comings, and will seek to protect him for as long as he can.

But as Ishy above has stated, a decision to go with Top Rank would be a very admirable one. He’ll find himself in with lightweights he’s never dealt with before. May end up being a career suicide.

Really?? cant see people flocking to see Mitchell in a big fight any time soon and Murray is no Ricky Hatton. They should just be matched for the December show.

I would have said Hatton but given the news I think Warren is the best move. He'll actually move his career along.

I like Hennessey, he goes the traditional route but he makes some terrible decisions for his fighters.

As long as he gets away from big Mick he should be okay. Having all out wars with guys like Buckland and that Russian are sure ways of shortening your career. He's not going to improve any more so throw him in with a big name, weather it's Ortiz, Mitchell or whoever. The winner of Katsidis/Marquez won't be intrested in fighting him so that's way out of the question. I find it funny that he thinks the winner of that fight, who could be in line to fight the best P4P fighters in the world, would be intrested in fighting an untestet Brit who has very little support even in his home city.

Murray and Mitchell can sell 3000 tickets each to domestic title fights agaisnt no name opponents. Againt eachother, with 2/3 big wins under there belt and a world title invovled, its a mega fight.

i'm not so sure murray can sell those numbers. i've been to a couple of his fights at the robin park and there definately wasn't 3000 murray fans at either. there were actually alot of people there to watch other boxers who spoke very critically about him and told me that he wasn't liked in manchester because of the way he acts outside of the ring.
