A lot of fighters get bums for sparring partners to boost their confidence. Pac gets a lot of tough sparring partners, maybe the lighter gloves are so that he can bust up his opponents more and boost his confidence. It's possible, it's reasonable and it's unremarkable.

It's also reasonable that they're protecting Pac because, hey.. who wants to be injured or cut up while training for a big fight, certainly not Pac and his team, Roach wouldn't allow it. Again it's possible and unremarkable.

Maybe they want Pac to still be able to throw fast punches so they can work on moves that will be close to what he can pull of on fight night. Once again, possible, reasonable and unremarkable.

This thread has been going for almost 30 pages now, you would think that if there were anything debate worthy here, someone would have already said it. The only thing being debated is if this is actually debate worthy. But the fact is, neither you nor spud nor any other person here has said that there is anything remarkable about the circumstances. Could it be possible that the reason no one has come up with any other plausible and interesting explanation is because... there is none? Did it occur to you that maybe you're just grasping for straws in trying to push that there's more than meets the eye here? Or will you just continue to be condescending, subtly insulting by asking them to "keep tying and reading slowly" when in fact, there just really isn't anything else of interest to gain from this discussion?
