I think Martinez by decision, but I think this clash of styles will probably lend itself to another close one, if they don't end it inside the distance this time.

i pick martinez for two reasons.

    1) i think he is a better fighter.
    2) i think he has a mental edge, since most people believe he won the first fight.

Martinez has several advantages. He has a lot of confidence from feeling he edged it the first time coupled with the victory over Pavlik. He's hungry to prove he's the best, and has shown good power sitting down on his punches in addition to his usual slick application of technique. Williams will make it a great fight, but has shown a lack of technical discipline in my opinion. His defensive holes have gotten a bit wider, as seen when he was hurt before Cintron flew out of the ring, and Martinez is the fighter to exploit them. I don't think either man will go down due to the level of skill involved on both sides, but Martinez will do more to secure the win and his style will lend itself to outboxing the opportunities presented by William's style.

If I was going purely on logic, I'd say Martinez by UD. It's very rare that world-class counterpunchers who aren't on a downward slide fare worse the second time against a given opponent, unless that opponent has changed their style or taken their game to a new level.

But, honestly, I'm not sure. Each of them could blow the other out at any time and, while Williams can be timed a certain percentage of the time, the percentage where you don't manage to time him he's usually landing with relentless repetition.

I'd go 51:49 in favour of Martinez, but it's really a pick 'em fight, and I respect them both for taking it because, as someone else already said, they both know in advance what kind of fight it's going to be and it's pretty likely that, whatever happens, it's going to be painful.

In a all serousness, I'm picking Martinez. Sergio rightfully won their first fight and this time he'll have more time to prepare for the rematch and he already knows the blueprint on how to beat P. Willy so I can't see how Williams can make the proper adjustments to overcome all of that and pull it off this time.

    Martinez by UD.

Martinez by decision... I think the time to prepare will benefit Martinez way more than Williams and he'll figure out a good gameplan and take the decision.
