Former british champion gets shock european title shot, your talking like its an outrage! Its a european title defence, as they gently steer McCloskey towards a big fight on the world stage. Its a title defence against a tough kid with some good wins at domestic level, get over it skel FFS!!!

It was a decent scrap too, hardly McCloskey just hitting him unanswered all night.
Anyway, Im done talking about this fight now. the jock got beat by the better man, in a nutshell! end of story.

Your geography radar is way out tonight mate. :rofl

    Just love your theorys:

So if you think Khan will beat McCloskey you also thought England were going to win the WC, any other sort of predictions go with your average Amir Khan fan?

I'm Kazakhstani. Ta tu amadan. That Irish enough for you?

Here is my reasoning. Khan has the fastest hands in the sport. McCloskey relies on his reflexes and rather than blocking shots he slips them and counters. This won't work against Khan, the only fighter who can counter punch Khan is Mayweather imo. His dominant performance against Malignaggi, who stylistically isn't miles away from McCloskey, demonstrates this. Khan can be beaten by an aggressior with a big punch. McCloskey has a punchers chance against him and McCloskey isn't much of a puncher to begin with.

Talking of buying into hype? What the **** has Paul McCloskey done to say he will murder a guy who has beaten two top 5/10 guys at 140? Don't you realise you are the one guilty of all the things you are accusing me of. Bias based on nationality and buying into unwarranted hype. :patsch

What ****ing fight were you watching :patsch
It was a glorified sparring session, Wasn't exactly a test was it Dunky ffs.

McClosky was 1/40 on for a reason pal, Morrison former champion who is way past his best McClosky needs tests not fights against past it average fighters.

youre NOT american and you use words like pal?...you sound like a ballbag then.

if you think what you have written above is true then you are also illiterate or semi literate at best...as well as a bollocks....i think McCloskey beats Khan easily and that England had no hope in the world cup this year...like every 4 years...hype and stupidity are the only things that would convince anyone otherwise.

to be honest its enough to tell me youre not really irish or youre at least not a fluent speaker/speller...I agree khan has fast hands...but he has no real power behind them, his punches are fast, yet relatively weak...hes never put anyone down for the count in a fight ive seen yet.

the Malignaggi fight was when khan was scared to fight his mandatory and payed maidana step aside money...Malignaggi has no power...and is no threat in that respect...if McCloskey landed 1/2 the blows Malignaggi did...amir would be out cold.

mccloskey was relatively unheard of until he retired lynes in their fight...if and when he gets a chance he'll beat anyone at 140...he avoids no man in his weight division, whereas khans whole career has been cherrypicked weak punchers and past it older guys.
