Guillermo Jones vs. Valery Brudov & Luis Concepcion vs. Denkaosan Kaovichit RBR

I know, but it seemed like a really strange time to switch stances. Why do it in the 11th round when you already have a comfortable lead?

 

Would love to see Jones give Huck a lesson or take on a dangerous fighter like Lebedev. He looked sharp considering the two year layoff.

Brudov's counterpunching style tailor made for a sharpshooter like Jones, though.

 

Brudov's face looks like he ate out a girl with a bee hive in her *****.

 

It wasn't smart. He's too squared up to go southpaw. When he's done it in the past, he's open for the right hand against orthodox fighters, losing some of his range on the jab and the ability to move back from the waist to avoid punches. Didn't affect the outcome of this one, but has been frustrating in the past.

 

Jones should arguably only have one lose and shouldve been a champion yearsssss ago. His draw and lose to Boudouani were robberies. His draw with Johnny Nelson was a robbery and the fight wasnt on TV but everyone that saw it said he shouldve gotten the decision vs Cunningham a few years back.

Back luck to he had to pull out of his second fight with Cunningham and also a fight with Williams Joppy years ago before Joppy was assaulted by Trinidad.

 

Yeah, agree to an extent, looked like the ref didn't want it to continue after the Dr. clearance. Brudov wasn't going to win.

 

Nelson fight was laughable. Bouduani actually fought Jones tough, those were good fights.

Going southpaw wasn't a bad move. His most effective punches where when he was leaning to his left. It was opening more opportunities for him in this fight. Jones looked out of shape but both fighters where coming off long lay offs Jones' was obviously longer.

 

That is a brutal cut. Yes he could have finished but he wasn't going to get the KO and was far behind in the fight. Why subject him to more needless punishment.

Jones always looks out of shape. Disagree about the southpaw thing. His jab/right hand are his best weapons and they're negated from the southpaw stances. See other reasons above.
