Wow, tough pick actually. Both had/have great power, same kinda size, both gas easily. Bruno made good use of a solid jab, Haye has thrown about 7 jabs in his whole career Although I think Bruno is an overall better HW at present (not as talented but he accomplished a decent amount), Haye is very VERY good at countering jabs with overhand rights, and he lands them with a lot of speed and a hefty force. I can't see Bruno taking too many of those. That said though it's obvious Bruno has the power to KO Haye in one shot (he wobbled McCall remember!).
sorry to dissapoint there turpin my man, you know i'm not one the type of fan that automatically goes with the older fighter over the modern fighter though, quite the opposite actually. But i just don't rate David Haye in terms of greatness at heavyweight. I didn't think he beat Valuev, i don't rate hos chin, and even though he switched his gameplan against Valuev, there was nowhere near enough evidence to suggest that he could be a really successful adaptable fighter. The whole speed thing is so overrated with him as well, i suppose he has good speed for a big man, but they talk about him like he's Floyd Patterson, it's pathetic. Anyway, Haye moght just blitz him early with huge right hands and stop Bruno, if that doesn't happen though, i just don't see what's stopping Bruno from hitting him with power shots. Bruno's hardly the greatest heavyweight and that's the only reason i'm entertaining the notion of a Haye win to be honest.
:goodi just can't get the image of a statue like bruno out of my head.when he got hit he just went to pieces and that left jab that he telegraphed by lifting his elbows up first. hows it going anyway ??
Started off close to home, then went to the Albert Dock and then slummed it in town, can't remember getting home mate i was smashed. It was my friend's birthday so it would have been rude not to get smashed. The weather's a joke, even my dog didn't wanna go for a walk, not great.
yeah you can't not get bladdered, that would be rude.it was my missus' birthday on friday too and she managed to get bladdered.i had to dissappoint her by feeling ok yesterday.we a had a good indian as well.
Haye has more mental strength and is more natural in what he does. Bruno more flustered and freezes under pressure and is also a little robotic if we're honest. Both are very good on the outside. Bruno has a great jab, Haye great speed and a good jab of his own and a very good fast counter puncher, so he may throw the right over Bruno's jab. Both have dodgy stamina after the early rounds Both have dodgy chins, although I feel Haye would not freeze and cope with adversity far better. Both massive punchers I see a knockout and think Haye would do it but think Bruno could definitely score a KO himself.
That's not even true. He survived big shots from guys like Lewis and Tyson before getting caught with a massive punch and freezing. How many massive punches has Haye absorbed from ATG heavweights in their primes? Monte Barrett really let him have it I suppose...
sorry, but it is true. floyd cummings first exposed the dancing statue bit.it wasn't till his fight with mccall that he finally seemed to grasp the concept of getting hold of his opponent till his head had cleared.he never looked to be a natural fighter
I don't even think this is close,i think Bruno knocks him spark out. Bruno was only beat by good men Tyson,Lewis,Witherspoon and Smith apart from the 2nd Tyson fight he was competitive all the way through against those guys, absorbed some big blows before being stopped. He also hurt every one of them so believe me he would take what Haye has to offer and the fragile Haye certainly has nowhere near the durability and toughness to absorb Bruno's bombs like those guys did.
There's no shame in LEwis/Tyson losses, but the same problem was evident against Smith/Witherspoon. A lack of survival skills. Haye managed to comeback from the heavy KD against Mormeck and Barrett, not really the same level and his mentality may not be as strong against top level fighters granted Haye hasn't been in as deep, if he does somehow manage to dethrone Wlad though and we redo this thread no one will pick Bruno, so its still wait and see
haye could easily avoid bruno for a few rounds and then land on frank vulnerable chin. remember the witherspoon loss.bruno landed his harder shot more or less at the same time as witherspoon landed but witherspoon had a chin and bruno didn't
